Got these boots a couple of weeks ago and am overall very happy, having worn them in very cold snow in the northern Midwest. But BEWARE: they are *very* small, smaller than other Oboz. I generally wear a 7/7.5. I have Oboz hiking boots I love in 7.5 and felt confident ordering that size. Nope. Exchanged them for an 8, which fits but is certainly not too big. I don't think I've ever worn an 8 in anything. One thing I wish these boots had is a loop in the back for pulling them on. Because the top is soft and there is a firm heel cup, they are difficult to step into, as the top crushes down into the heel. This is such a typical feature on boots that I wonder why they didn't include one.
I do a lot of walking on snow and ice and needed something that had great arch support, traction, and is waterproof. These certainly fit the bill. I've gotten a ton of compliments on them as well. They are comfortable to walk in for long periods. I will say that I have a high arch and they are hard to get on. As I have been wearing them, they are stretching a little so that is getting better. The top of my foot does get a little sore after about 8 hours but, honestly, that's pretty good for me.
These boots are wider in the toe and narrower in the heel so they work for me. Better yet, there is room for two pairs of socks. They fit fine and seem to be quite sturdy. I always buy a half size larger than my shoe size for winter boots. I am sorry they didn’t work for everyone....still I am recommending them. I bought them in both colors!
I bought these boots as everyday boots for myself. We live in the Pacific Northwest, so having a waterproof boot is mandatory. I don't love rain boots, as they aren't as insulated as this boot, and they are hard to get on and off. These boots fit me TRUE TO SIZE. Others have mentioned that it is wide in the toe area. I agree with that, however it isn't any different than the way a KEEN or even a Dr Marteen fits. For me, I prefer that boxy toe. My feet are actually narrow, but I like room for my toes to spread out a bit. No thanks when it comes to bunyons or cramped feet! I plan on spending a lot of time in my unheated garage, with a concrete floor. That can mean cold, cold feet if the shoe isn't right. So far, these shoes have done their job! How can I describe them? Sort of like wearing a boot-sized house slipper, but one that is waterproof, has a thick soul, and looks ADORABLE! 5 stars.
These boots are very cute and very comfortable. Unfortunately, I will be returning them. The top opening is way too big. Snow will definitely get in. I'm disappointed.
I LOVE Oboz, I have way too many pairs, but these do not work for me. Oboz fit me because they have a C width in the front, and a B for the heel. These are on a women's specific last and narrower in front. Sadly sent back.
I accidentally found these on clearance at rei. Bought them for my trip to NYC. First time I wore them was the day we started our trip (horrible thing to do, I know)...but I didn't have any problem with this. Just make sure you wear tall socks so the boot doesn't rub on your calf. I will gladly recommend this brand to anyone. Love the extra ride room in the toe bed! We walked miles and miles everyday and these were wonderful.
I bought these because they were listed as having good traction in snow/ice. We haven't had ice yet where I live but I find them comfortable, waterproof and providing secure footing on wet, slippery areas. My only wish is for more flexibility in the sole but that is just my preference as I am not a fan of stiff soles, esp for hiking. Overall, I love these. They look good enough to wear anywhere although I have not worn them hiking. People who hike in stiff soles would probably love them.
I bought these so that I could slip them on. I agree with one of the other reviewers that it would be nice to have a heel loop to help pull them on. However that being said I can push my foot into them with no problem. They do run small. I ordered a 9 and I wear them in MN with bare feet. I can get them on with a sock liner.
Couldn't decide whether or not to order a half size bigger than usual size and went with my usual size and they fit fine. As others have mentioned, the ankle opening is a little narrow. I have skinny legs so it's actually great for me; and I often get blisters from my heel moving around but these are great. They look good, are warm, and very comfortable for dog walking.
