Purchased in July hoping for year round use. They were a little warm and did not breathe so well but I hung on with winter in mind, a little warmth would be good. Fast forward to December and our first good rain, not so good. I stepped in a shallow puddle and my right foot felt cold and wet, I did not want to believe it but when I got home and checked, sure enough - soggy. I have several pairs of Vectiv Futurelight waterproof from The North Face, and have waded to my car in a flooded parking lot, fully expecting to overwhelm the shoe, but stayed high and dry. I just ordered another pair to replace the Hedgehog 3's
I used to wear this style of North Face shoe 10 years ago. I really liked them then. I decided to try another pair. These look nice online. However, as soon as I put them on I knew I would return them. They are big and clunky. In fact in person they aren’t attractive at all. The laces are also cheap. If they did not say North Face one would think they were $20 shoes. I will be returning them.
After North Face discontinued the 110s, which fit me so perfectly I went through 3 pairs over the years, I struggled to find a shoe that fit well and didn't aggravate my arthritis. I gave these a try and the fit was great, no breaking in, and almost no foot pain.
Bought these for my husband and they have become his favorite. Great grip and comfortable out of the box.
