[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this rain jacket. I have been looking for something like this for a very long time as someone who travels all day for their job and doesn't have the time or patience to deal with an umbrella. This rain jacket does a great job of keeping me dry. I also love how well it fits because clothing has seemed to vary a lot more recently between brands and sizes. Lastly, I love the packable feature. This has come in handy on those days when it might rain, but I didn't want to just carry the jacket. I packed it up in it's pocket and it was condensed enough to put in my bag. I would totally buy this product again and in multiple colors!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] An EXCELLENT EXCELLENT rain jacket! At first I was really hesitant to order this jacket I really know much about the Columbia name brand but I decided to give it a try and it's a great thing that I did! Now I'm a FULL believer of this brand name. What it claimed about their OMNI-TECH waterproofing technology wasn't a fluke but it's real. 1) I spend a full day riding my bicycle using this jacket and NOT ONE DROP of water permeated the inside of it. 2) This jacket BREATHES and doesn't trap your sweat inside so there's no condensation happening so you won't get sick out from the elements. I Fully recommend this product if you want great excellent quality gear!
This is the 3rd Rain Jacket I have purchased from Columbia and am very disappointed in the zipper. This zipper in no way compares with the first jacket's zipper. Columbia has gone from a robust double zipper to a fragile, cheap single zipper. I bought this jacket as the second jacket's zipper had broken and I needed a replacement. I don't hold out much hope that this new jacket's zipper will last very long at all. I am a huge fan of Columbia products, but this Jacket fails to meet the quality standard that I have come to expect with Columbia products. I will continue to buy Columbia products, just not items with zippers.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this jacket because I bike or walk to work everyday, a few miles each way. Being in the elements whether commuting or camping, it has kept me perfectly dry. There is enough room to add layer sounds underneath if it is cold, and the breathability is great when it is warm. The cut fits perfectly and leaves me comfortable when I'm stretching my arms to the handlebars or my bike, setting up my tent, or straining under a heavy backpack. The color palette also goes with anything I'll be wearing to work, and I also feel comfortable wearing it to business meetings. All in all incredibly happy with my new purchase!!!!!
I haven't had a chance to test this jacket in the rain yet. The LT fit is good for my slim and tall (6'4") frame. However, the color for River Blue as it appears on the website is very inaccurate. I wanted something I could wear cycling that would be relatively visible. The color online makes it look like it's a fairly bright color, but in reality it is very muted. In fact, it matches the hue (but slightly darker) of the Columbia logo & name that appears in the upper left corner of this site
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this one for my husband. Now the entire family has one. If you are looking for a jacket that will actually keep you dry, this is it. This is water proof, not water resistant. After hours in the rain, there is no water seeping through the fabric or the seams. The pants that match this are wonderful too. Mine is 4 years old and still perfect. I love that it will pack down really well to travel. It is made of a great fabric. It isn't plastic like, its comfortable. The visor on the jacket is nice in a really bad rain. Our 5 dogs have never done any damage jumping up on me. It's durable. THIS is the jacket to buy.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just purchased my SECOND men's Columbia rain jacket a couple days ago. I liked the first one, but so did someone else, apparently, and mine was "exchanged"/stolen? for another brand rain jacket! I take this, in one sense, as a compliment to the product, but still angered at the loss of the first jacket, a year old and like brand-new. Don't let this episode keep you from purchasing a Columbia product, but do keep your eyes on its whereabouts, or better yet, when out and about, near you, knowing you have something with a good reputation for quality and function! Something that others would like to have, too.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] this is a great rain jacket and good for the cooler rainy days. It will keep you dry, but I wear it at times for just a lighter option on a cooler day as well. It's not as "packable" for hiking as other options, but it still folds up pretty nicely for a day pack. It will keep you drier than those more lightweight options as well from what I've seen. I bought a Large-Tall and it runs a little bigger than the normal Large sizing, but the extra arm length is worth it to me. I do wish Columbia would fix that though. A "medium-tall" would probably be a better fit for me if Columbia had one in comparison to this jacket.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently had the opportunity to use my Men's Watertight™ II Jacket purchased this past March. Although it runs a little slim, the fit is comfortable. While using it two days ago, I found the jacket to be very functional and true to its advertising. I’ve owned light weight rain jackets in the past, but none could compare to this purchase. I never felt hot or sweaty while donning this gear. Typically, humid, rainy days cause you to experience a build up of moisture inside the jacket. Not here. The Omni-Tech technology used in this design was as advertised. It kept me dry from the moistness from outside and within the jacket. Quality material, assembly, and look. Great purchase!
I just received this jacket for Christmas so I haven't put it through the rigor of the demands that I usually put products through but it was pouring rain outside today so I put it on and went out to test it. Water beaded up and ran off just like it should. Was bone dry everywhere that the jacket was covering so it's working great so far. There are only two things that I can say. 1. The velcro that secures the cuff on the sleeve is very skinny and I believe that I might would want it a little wider. Haven't really had it long enough to decide though. 2. I have pretty long arms for my body size so if you are like me, you may want to get a tall size for less restricted arm movement.
