Rated 4 out of 5 by from Side country gem This is sweet side country or mellow backcountry gear. The airbag comes out when the terrain gets rowdy but this thing is awesome replacement for a pack at the resort. Love being able to ride the chairlift comfortably and not having to worry about taking a pack on and off, while carrying all my avi gear plus some. Skis like you are not carrying a pack too! This would be great to use as a resort pack even if not venturing into the backcountry/carrying avi gear. I am 5'6" and 145 and went with the s/m. it feels great but I put my skins in the back as opposed to the front pockets which makes it feel a little tight wearing jacket and winter laters underneath. Feels a bit hotter than a pack while skinning but not too bad. My gripe is the zipper which is a pain to get started, otherwise Baller. REI's shipping sucked, taking 12 days to get halfway across the country.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Color Options It is undoubtedly a spectacular product. My only gripe is that it only comes in one color. My normal ski jacket is a dull gray just like this vest. I wear it anytime I ski and that's fine except when I go into the backcountry. At times like this, it makes sense to have brightly colored apparel so if you do get caught in a slide, its easier to find you. If I am wearing my normal jacket and this vest, I have no bright colors to aid in my rescue. I could buy a new jacket, but I dont want to drop another $600 and I dont really need or want a super bright color when I'm at a resort. But I DO really need and want a super bright color when I am in the backcountry, which is the only time I would use the vest. Bottom Line: Dakine, please, for the love of god, make this jacket in a bright color. p.s.I would have posted this on Dakine's webpage but it doesnt allow for it.

Hi! Can I carry/insert my Camelback inside the back of this vest? Thanks in advance!

Asked by: NCOJSC
Yes, this vest is hydration compatible so you can insert your Camelbak inside the back of the vest.
