Great product!

Love them. They pack/unpack quickly and easily, collapse to small enough to fit inside my 11-16 liter packs, and provide strong support. For backpacking and hiking all day, keeps 3 points of contact with the ground and transfers some of the load to one's arms, saving knees and back wear and tear. I use these all the time and they fit easily into my pack in their own handy stuffsack, so I can have them for the hike to the rocks when I start climbing. In the pack, they don't catch on trees, rocks and whatever along the trail. For price, in a season, they cost me about a dollar a hike, after that they're free.

Compact, Light, Comfy w/Minor Design Limitations

Additionally, when assembled the lower segments (lacking speedlocks) don't link up real tight, and exhibit some wobble. It's not enough to feel unstable, but it can be perceived. Again, this is understandable given the design, but who wouldn't prefer a more solid connection? I know I would, which is why I ended up buying the standard 3-piece speedlock corklite model instead. This model doesn't come in a lighter women's version, but should work for most people regardless. It doesn't collapse nearly as short and is a tiny bit heavier, but with two speedlocks, the adjusment range is much wider and the poles lock up rock solid. Since I didn't need a travel-specific pair at this time, I settled on the corklite speedlock, but despite the perceived shortcomings, I might return to the micro vario if the need arises.

So far so good

These poles have gone with me on about 20 miles of hiking so far, and they feel great on the hands. I haven't had any issues with blistering or sweaty palms. It's nice that the poles are compactable, and they assemble easily. One thing to make sure is that the clamp for the height adjustment is tightened enough to keep the poles secure and to prevent adjustment slipping. I tightened these by hand and had no issues with them supporting my weight (~150 lbs/68 kg) on fairly steep inclines and declines.

Saved my knees on my trip to the North Cascades!

I've been looking for a good set of women's specific hiking poles for a while and my friend suggested either Leki or Black Diamond poles. I wanted the compactness of the hiking pole (usually by utilizing an inner cord) and the flexibility to adjust the lengths (locking system). These poles were EXACTLY what I was looking for and had BOTH! They're pretty lightweight and can compact down to fit in my carry-on pack for flights. Comes with a red Leki nylon bag. They were easy and straight forward to use. The wrist straps on top are adjustable and the handles were very comfortable on my small hands. I took them on a backpacking trip to the North Cascades, which included steep elevation gain, rock scrambling, snow field crossings, and these worked like a champ. I also got the Leki snow baskets, which I have to say were pretty pricey for snow baskets.

Good design

I researched these online and then bought in the store. They are well balanced and well-designed, and easily fit in my pack. I had no idea that they were "women's" poles when I got them in the store . . . I'm about 6'3" tall, and these are more than long enough and sturdy enough. Weird that they segregate poles by sex.

Love these trekking poles

These were a replacement for my old LEKI twist lock design poles. I thought I would miss the shock absorber feature of my old poles. I didn’t. I prefer the solid support of these. I love the LEKI grip, it’s the most comfortable, and the extra length grip below the handle is a plus. I love the easy-fold design of these pole styles and I can’t wait to pack them in a suitcase this summer!

Great poles!

These really make hiking hills and uneven terrain easier. I was skeptical, but it really is true! They are durable and sturdy yet light-weight. The grips and straps are comfortable. These poles are definitely a part of my hiking gear that I wouldn't want to be without.

Bought these to make packing poles for travel easier. They worked very well: easy to assemble and disassemble, good locking mechanisms and very comfortable handles.

Earned their keep on hills in Europe

The poles made the hiking in the woods much easier. But when I got into town, didn't have the rubber feet for them and they would have made it easier. Have since purchased rubber tips for them and am anxious to use them.

great product

I accidentally grabbed the “Lady’s” version which was very stylish and pretty. Being that I couldn’t bring myself to brag about my new poles to the guys due to the gender specific design, I exchanged them for the men’s version. I was impressed at how meticulously crafted these were for my XY chromosomes. I would recommend this product to anyone who fancies themselves a gender enthusiast. They also work for hiking if you’re into that.
