Very Disappointed
These glasses last less than one year. I bought my first pair in July 2015 and had to return them by spring 2016 because the tint on the lenses began to flake off. The second pair I received lasted less then 3 months before the same issue started. I'm not sure if it is faulty equipment or poor production since these are my only peppers glasses, but if others are having the same experience it might be Peppers that is the problem.
Decent protection and looks great
Looks great. These are comfortable yet they stay in place, no need to worry about these falling off of of your face. The lenses smudge very easily, even from using the special cloth thing you can leave a little mark that takes a bit more rubbing to get off. For snow, you should look at more rounded glasses as the sides and bottom of these are fairly open and allow the sun to bounce off the snow and into your eyes, for someone who spends time in the snow it is something to look out for. I haven't used the warranty and hope to never need it, but its there and seems to be a decent coverage against the plastic frame cracking or something. I would buy again, very happy with these.
A sad day for a birthday boy
Well, I can't really say much about these other than the 5 hours I got to wear them they were fantastic! I had an unlucky day and these bad boys got stolen from me while I was out at music show. I left my window cracked, and someone decided to finagle some sort of device through the crack to unlock my door! I guess I should be thankful they didn't hot-wire my car and drive away, but they did get away with my sweet new shades and some loose change in my car. Overall the glasses felt great on me, the vision was superb, and when I save up some more money I will definitely repurchase these!
Look cool but scratch easily.
I bought these at the beginning of this summer because they look cool and were comfortable- several months later they are riddled with scratches. It must be said I'm not super kind on my shades, but I do at least attempt to keep them scratch free. As such I'm a bit skeptical about the durability of these shades and probably won't buy anything from this brand again. For the price I'd like to get more than one season.
Great Pair of Sunglasses
As a person that wore Oakley Frogskins in the early to mid 90's, these are a perfect replacements for them. I was looking to replace them, but found them to be too small for my face now. Frogskins have a 55mm lens while these have 58mm lens. I got the Matte Gray with Fire lens which are a base grey and can tell you that the vision out of them are crystal clear. These are my second pair of Peppers with the Loco being my 1st. I liked these so much that I purchased a pair in black from another online website. Can't recommend this brand enough. Great pair of shades for someone looking for Frogskin like sunglasses.
Not worth it. . .
Same as some of these other reviews - these things scratch incredibly easily - and will scratch to the point where you can't see out of them anymore with ease. I used these only while driving for the first few months and I was so confused as to how they got so scratched as I hand not been super hard on them. But then the scratches just kept coming. I looked at their website and if it's after a year then you can't get the warranty on the product w/out paying half the cost ($25) as a processing fee. Not worth it for more scratches.
Scratch too easily!
I purchased a pair to wear casually within a couple months they were so scratched that I couldn't see well / use them. I returned them and a person at REI recommenced I keep them in a microfiber bag - so my second pair I kept in a microfiber bag in the upper console of my car where I keep NOTHING ELSE. It took longer for them to scratch but was less than a year. My target $12 glasses last much longer - if only they were also polarized. The polarizing on these glasses is wonderful when they are brand new.
These caught my eye
I already have too many pairs of sunglasses to need to buy another pair, but these caught my eye, and while the polarization isn't quite as nice as, say, the Smith Optics Chemist with the grey/green lens, or the polarchromic Smith Touchstone with the brown lens, the price is right, and they look as cool if not cooler. They are quickly taking over from the Smith shades I own, if not purely for their novelty, then for their value. They fit way better, too.
Lens discolored
I really liked the style, weight and cost of these sunglasses for mountain biking. However, In less than 30 days the lens coating started coming off and I am no longer able to use them. So in the trash they go. Not a good sunglass for folks who sweat heavily from a mtb helmet
Looks sharp, cheaply made
I bought these a few month ago and wore them probably twice a week. They look sharp on a larger face. The quality isn't that great, on my pair one of the glasses fell out and the print on the inside was gone after wearing them a few times. I returned them.
