Let’s Go Racing!
I have a great pair of Smith goggles that are perfect for our clear blue skies here in Colorado. When I decided to get back into rec league ski racing under the lights, the deep tint was not going to work. My new Smiths with clear lenses are perfect for night skiing and keeping me on course. I can read every change in terrain and see every rut. Even though I did not make it on the podium, the Smith Classic Snow Goggle give me miles of smiles participating in my favorite sport.
Good basic beginner goggles
I purchased these for my first ever ski trip and they were generally up to the task. I found them comfortable enough and for the price you can't really beat it. Now that I will continue skiing I immediatly purchased some new ones because these provided minimal protection from the glare/sun and were prone to fogging up as they do not have any vents and they lack a case to put them in to protect the visor. But if you are only planning to ski in mild weather that's not too sunny or are a novice and don't want to spend a lot of money just to try skiing these are a good option.
Easily frosts over while winter biking.
I bought the goggles for winter biking when it gets really cold. So far I've had more bad luck than good with them. I wear them with a balaclava pulled over my mouth and nose, and most of my rides some vapor gets inside the goggles and promptly freezes. So then I'm looking through a sheen of ice, which defeats the purpose of wearing goggles to aid my vision. When the goggles work though, they're awesome. I can bike and see comfortably, ignoring wind and cold air that would normally make my eyes water and tears freeze. I've been playing around with how to best cover my face without allowing for vapor to get inside the goggles, but it's annoying that it's been such a process.
Good value
I bought these because they were cheap and I'd had good service from a previously owned pair of Smiths. I was not disappointed. Used them in New Mexico for four days in temps varying from single digits to forty plus. Not a hint of fogging. Perfect.
Great for night skiing
Bought these for night skiing and they work great. They're comfortable and I haven't had any issues with them fogging up.
Classic for a Reason
These are the best bang for your buck. Great comfort, optics, and no fogging if you can keep the inside dry. However they do clear quickly with a quick towel wipe and some airflow. Awesome goggles.
Excellent for winter cycling
I ride a lot pre-dawn, and these have been great. Good for in the dark, at twilight, and daylight. haven't fogged up on me no matter how hard I'm pumping on a climb.
Work great. I donno why people buy more expensive
They do what they're supposed to. No problems so far. I am confused why people buy goggles 4x+ as much as these. These do what they're supposed to.
Smith goggles
They fit well. They fogged up when using a balaclava over my mouth and nose skiing in below zero weather. The vents could be larger.
Cycling Ski Goggles
I purchased these simple ski goggles to wear during my cold weather cycling commutes. They are simple and inexpensive and technically exactly what I need.
