Great quality kids' helmet
This is a great quality helmet, approaching adult quality, but at kid-sized pricing. The vents, straps, fit and finish are all above what one would expect at this price. But sizing is inconsistent. On the first one of these we tried, we loosened the back strap (via the wheel) all the way, until it was comfortable for my son. Obviously, I didn't wan him to get that helmet because he wouldn't be able to adjust it any looser as his head grew. On the second one we tried, the strap on back did not need to be loosened much at all. I assumed it was a larger size. It was not -- it's just that the sizing, or the length of the straps, is not consistent.
Good helmet but didnt like for bike seat
I think this is a good helmet and in truth this probably would be a 5 star review, except my daughters are still in bike seats. I find this helmet sticks out a bit in the back and thus pushes her head forward in the seat more than i like. Part of the problem is she is so young and small for her age. This will probably be a great helmet when she is riding on her own (years from now). I swapped it for a little nutty like her sis and that is great for resting back against the bike seat.
one size does not fit all
bought this helmet for my son to replace the one we lost - tried on many in other stores with little to no success. the problem was always the way the straps fit around the ears. the straps on this helmet were able to adjust perfectly to his head. the head lock around the back of his head kept this helmet positioned correctly - better than his last helmet. my sone (like his dad) has a pretty large head.
Simply the Best
I bought this for our 2 year old (he has a large head for his age). It fit so well, and was so adjustable, that I purchased a second one for our 5 year old (he has a small head for his age). I tried other brands (Bell, Specialized, etc), but this helmet fit them the best (very adjustable) and they both felt it was very comfortable. Oh, and the stylish graphics didn't hurt either (grin).
Fantastic!
Fantastic helmet for my 4 year-old. He has given us a lot of problems with past helmets saying that they were uncomfortable. He also out grew them quite quickly. This helmet is so easy to adjust and so light weight he now automatically grabs it when we say he can go for a bike ride. Will definitely continue to but this brand in the future.
Good product
Fits my 4yr old son great. Has alot of adjustment and should work for years to come. He has never complained about any discomfort.
Comfortable and Adjustable
Got this for my kids - I liked how you can adjust the fitting with a dial on the back. This should continue to fit as my kids grow.
