Best Gloves Ever!! - I use them everyday

I bought my gloves 10+ years ago for a large repelling and rigging project. I then I started to use them for construction work. They are BEST WORK GLOVE I have ever used!! I use them all day 2 to 3 times a week. People always ask me, "where did you find those gloves", and they laugh when they find out they were designed for repelling. IMPORTANT: You will have to break them in, yes they are like a new pair of new leather hiking boots that must be broken in to really work. It takes about two - three weeks of regular ware to break them in. I would recommend that you buy them with a tight fit, as the leather will stretch and conform to your hands over time. While breaking them in, you may get some blisters or sores around your fingers, be patient those hot spots will go away. At first they should be VERY hard to take off, you should feel like you have to pick them off. Once broken in this will not be an issue. One thing to check is on the stitching around the fingers where they are cut off. Make sure you don't have any bad seams that protrude inward and pinch your fingers. After 10 years of extreme use, I still have my original pair and they are worth every penny. Also they make a good repelling glove…

Just what I needed . . . .

A friend and I started an arborist company in VA last year. On one job, I was using Stanley work gloves. The rope slipped on our lowering device and burnt right through the light work gloves. I found these gloves after searching for a while. I wanted something to allow me to tie knots without taking the gloves on and off, but still beefy enough to handle any potential rope burns. Ever since I got these I swear by them. I can grab a line to lower without skin contact, but tie and untie knots without removing the gloves. Also, the hook loops allow easy storage while rigging for climbing without the need for a glove clip. These gloves have been through strenuous tree work and weather conditions and are holding strong. Would never go back to anything else. I am buying several pairs this year for the people that work with us.

Absolutely wonderful!

I work at an indoor climbing facility and we started kids camp this week. I knew I needed gloves for that because of how much belaying I was going to end up doing. I bought these gloves this weekend and broke them out today. They are fantastic. I got them really snug and they fit really well. I had no trouble tying the kids in and out. The only thing is that once I took them off, I noticed I had some tears on my knuckles. I'm sure that'll stop happening once I break them in more, but if that's my only complaint, then I'm one happy customer!

Awesome Fit, Bombproof

I've never had a glove that fit so well. I've owned a pair of these for many years. They're dirty and worn in but show no signs of coming apart, despite much abuse from repelling, wedging, and grabbing hot pot handles. I use them not only climbing but whenever I'm using tools or doing work where I want some support and/or protection. They double as my shooting gloves and mechanics gloves. Everything about this glove- down to the 'biner loop and velcro closure is just perfect. Highly recommended!

We're talk'n DURABLE!

To stay in shape for Mountain Biking, Hiking and Paddling I log over 100 work-outs (weight lifting) every year. Typical gloves, for this purpous, will wear-out in a couple of months. These gloves have lasted a multiple of years (I forget how many)and many hundreds of work-outs. It is the back of the gloves that eventualy failed from repeatedly being drenched with sweat and then air dried over and over again. The reinforced palms remain intact. I will be purchasing my 2nd pair soon.

Excellence

I am a zipline guide full time. I bought a pair of these gloves last year for a full 8 month season of ziplining. Needless to say, these gloves went through some serious abuse, but they held up amazingly. From using the glove to brake on the zip line going speeds of up to 45 mph many times a day to rappelling and using our rope O.P. brake for the lines... After a full 8 months I have managed to damage these gloves to beyond repair or use on the job this year...but I am really impressed that they made it that far. I've managed to cause multiple holes in the finger pits as well as destroying all the stitching holding the reinforced palm on. I did experience pain on my left pinky finger initially due to the stitching, however I found that if you either cut it shorter or just fold it onto itself, it eliminated the problem. Then once they were worn it id didn't bother me anymore. The beautiful thing is that while these gloves are super protective for your hands for doing things like zipline guiding or rappelling work etc., they still grant me the dexterity I need to open hundreds of caribeners and other devices a day. I love them. And am about to buy my seconds pair.

MY SECOND SKIN

I WORK IN THE BRUSH AND WOODS SWINGING A MACHETE OR A SLEDGEHAMMER AT LEAST 10HRS A DAY USUALLY 6 DAYS A WEEK. I PURCHASE ONE PAIR OF THESE A YEAR (4 YEARS NOW)AND THE ONLY TWO DRAWBACKS ARE THAT AFTER A YEAR OF THIS KIND OF ABUSE THEY BREAKDOWN AND THEY DON'T COME IN ANYTHING INSULATED FOR WINTER.THEY OFFER INCREDIBLE DEXTERITY AND UNTIL THE FINGERS BEGIN TO WEAR OUT I GET NO BLISTERS AT ALL. BY FAR THE GREATEST PAIR OF GLOVES, EVER!

Decent but stitching issue

The stitching on the left little finger is poorly placed. I have to place a piece of medical tape on my finger to avoid a nasty abrasion from the placement of the seam. I has able to soften the other seams with leather conditioner but that one is just screwed up. I recommend them only for casual hikers and suggest carefully trying them on in the store first.

A little finger burn

I use this product for rapelling. I do not recommend the short finger version for rapelling. Fingers are not long enough to protect fingers agains rope burn for long rapells. I recommend this glove, but not for rapelling.

Durable Gloves

I've yet to see a pair of gloves stand up as well as these. I use them primarily for belaying using a Gri Gri. I get 100+ days in every year and go through gloves. These get the job done.
