Beware of the “Orange” Seirus

It looks like a fantastic idea! And for my skis & my wife’s skis - it works great until it doesnt... Ordered 3 in Feb 2018... two have failed in under 10 uses - the first after 2 uses. Second last weekend... Replaced with the later version - white Seirus logo - not orange. Newer model seems to have improved the quality of the strap & plastic. Still - the Velcro is poorly placed to deal with the residual strap. Does not work well for youth skis & poles - even with the snap-in adapters. Thankfully, the REI staff are fantastic - Manager & I looked at the second failed carrier and compared broken to “orange” to “white.” Definitely a difference in construction method.

Needs slight redesign

Bought this to handle walking to/from the car. It's a nice design and solid idea, but just needs some tuning. Pros - good concept, looks like quality material Cons - design seems slightly over complicated for what it's job is to do, and the slot that you route the strap thru is a hair too thin. The product broke when putting it on my skis in the garage and never made it to the slopes. Price seems a few dollars high as well, ideally this would be a hot item at $25

Was great while it lasted

First, I really did like this strap. Everything wad in place. Barely moved. And wasd easily carried from the car to the lodge. But... I wonder if the directions are properly misleading. Implying by the image it does something it doesn't. Clasps the skis firm. but poles can slide a little. But you probably just put them in the wrong spot... but don't you dare try to slide those poles while inside the circle keepers. The keepers will break. And easily. For 30$I'd expect better

Great Idea but worthless.

This looked hopeful when I bought it but the construction was poor and the plastic part broke out of the box. When I returned it to REI in person the store employee tried to understand how it worked and agreed that it was really worthless.

Broke on first use

These would be great if they were actually durable enough for more than one use. Used for my new skis on a trip and one the first use, I thought it was pretty handy. The problem is that the plastic piece that keeps the strap tight is complete garbage and breaks extremely easily. On the second use, the plastic piece failed and I dropped my brand new skis onto concrete because the strap came loose while I was carrying them. I followed the instructions.

Product has been great for my son who happens to b

My son is totally blind and is an avid downhill snow skier. It has been a challenge for him to carry his skis and poles while being guided from the car to the lift line since he must use one hand to keep contact with his guide. I purchased the Ski Relay as a stocking stuffer for him and he loves it. This product now allows him to easily carry both his skis and poles in one hand leaving the other free. It also packs up small enough that he can take it off at the base of the hill and slip it into his pocket until he needs it again at the end of the day. After watching how well it worked for him, I decided to buy one for myself. We have both been very happy with the product after using it for our first ski trip of the year.

Worked great at first. Went to use it at the end of the day and it broke when I cinched is down. Guess we’ll see if the Gorilla Glue works.

Broke after a few uses

The piece of plastic that holds the strap in place snapped after only a few uses. Great idea, very poor execution.

Poor Product

The velcro cinch strap has a narrow strip on the side needed to cinch up the strap to your skis - but it's not wide enough for a firm closure. Then it has another large patch of velcro at the end of the strap on the other side that appears to be useless. I should have known better than to purchase - all the boxes in the store appeared to have been opened - were probably returned merchandise.
