Fillet a red salmon!!!
Love this knife, in fact lost my last one so had to get another for fishing in Alaska this year... The cork screw is great for the bottle of wine after :-)
Cool different look
I've always carried Swiss Army Knifes and misplaced the most functional one I use for everything. Went to REI with a specific knife in mind not planning on anything other than the standard "red". They were out of this model in red and happened to have the translucent blue so I grabbed it. I really like the look and as usual, this knife does pretty much everything I would ever need. I used the can opener recently which I hadn't even thought of in years - nothing has changed in the knives in the 40 years I've owned them - great quality and very user friendly
THE ONE
I have had one of these for 35+ years. I have used it while fishing, hunting, climbing, cycling, camping, travelling....at home, while working on my car. It is the single most important tool you can have in your arsenal. I recently had it confiscated at the airport right after they were supposedly allowed. I had that knife for 25-years. Purchased a blue version at REI. Liked it so much I went back and purchased a second one. In a word, it's: awesome.
now that is blue
Expected to be happy with a replacement brick red model and had to settle for transparent blue. Now I am starting to like the blue. Great well made product with the all important scissors and corkscrew. But this knife is only for serious pockets (say Levi's)
Useful little knife
Picked this up before a weekend winter trip on Rainier; have lost these types of knives in the past and wanted something cheap and reliable in a pinch. I used many of the tools especially the can opener, large knife, and bottle opener. Small enough to keep in my pocket even in the sleeping bag.
Swiss Army Knife
It was just the one that I wanted all the right features I wanted and a cool Blue color.
The Mama Bear Swiss Army Knife
The Climber is the mama bear of Swiss Army knives. It has everything you really need and nothing more….. Okay, the little hook is a new addition since I bought my last one and I haven’t used it yet but the space was there on the knife anyway so it might as well be filled with something.
Perfect Swiss Army Knife
I got this as a gift for my husband. I was looking for the this is in original red, but it came in the translucent blue. He loved it just like the other reviewers had said. Perfect size , has everything you need and the scissors are amazing!
Use my Swiss Army knife frequently
My knife was appropriately taken by TSA on a recent flight as it was in a carry on bag by my mistake. Luckily REI still carries the same model and I got it the next day when we returned. It has a good combination of tools. I missed it when it was taken.
The Blue Color Extra Cool!
Need this pocket knife. If REI could have engraved it - you would have cashed in on more profits. My kids purchased for Xmas and got monogrammed someplace after the sale - one stop would have been icing on the cake.
