Nice retro throwback
I love Olukai but have the hardest time with their shoes. (The sandals fit great albeit I have to order the men’s due to my wide width.) Their shoes tend to run too narrow. I was excited when I tried these on because my foot did not feel scrunched. Unfortunately after just two hours of wearing these to run errands my plantar fasciitis flared up rendering these unbearable to wear any longer. These are very well made shoes and are true to size. Note: the tongue of the shoe is attached internally on either side with a stretchy mesh adding to the bulk of the interior of the shoe. These might be great for others but unfortunately did not work for me.
Incredible look and comfort; sizing a bit mixed
I have very sensitive feet and I really liked these from the moment I first tried them at a local boutique. They are supportive, yet cushy. Good arch support without being harsh. They look much more attractive than most sneakers. Although I usually do not like beige, the sand color is the best because it is a nice neutral with a variety of clothing. My only complaint, which led to me initially passing up on them at the boutique, is the sizing. I have a narrow foot so I found that my usual street size 9 was the most supportive and stable. However, I barely had any toe room so I ordered the 9.5. a little torn about whether I made the right decision. Most likely I did, but I am feeling a little sensitive in my foot, which I don't think would be the care in the slightly more stable smaller size. If I wear with very thin socks, my foot slides slightly, although I am able to tighten the laces and feel to pretty good with an average cushion ankle sock.
