Not Impressed

Bought this a couple weeks ago and not as impressed as I thought I would be.

Nothing but trouble.

I bought this about a month ago and it’s been problematic since day one. It constantly freezes, turns off, and has been riddled with problems. When it doesn’t do those things it was good. I’ve exhausted all the things that garmin has told me to try and it still has the same problems. I’m not the only one experiencing these issues. Now the place that I have bought it from is dragging their feet and refusing to return it. So now I’m left with a watch that only works half the time. I’ve since bought the garmin forerunner 265 and it’s been leaps and bounds better than the vivoactive 6. I’m just so disappointed to be out of the cash that I paid for it.

Love my new Garmin Vivoactive

This is my third Garmin Vivoactive. I believe I have been wearing them for 10-15 years; the first ones battery wouldn't last as long as I led after several years of triathlons and marathons and the second one quit tracking several things after I dropped it and cracked the crystal. The new one has many new features I like including it is quite light, tracks naps (which us old guys take from time to time), and the face is much more attractive. I don't know if there are other options for the face on this one because I like just the way it came out of the box. It works great and though I have had it for 2-3 weeks, I have only charged it once.

Convert!

For several years I owned/used a Garmin 945 Forerunner. Really like it but I'm not longer running and instead biking and doing strength workouts. I didn't know if I'd like the Vivoactive 6 as well. I don't. I like it better! Here is what I like: - Touch screen is super easy to use and intuitive. - LED screen is extremely easy to read. - Battery lasts and lasts. I was going to buy an I-watch until I saw it had to be charged daily. - The morning report is very informative. In short, I am VERY glad I purchased the Vivoactive 6! It is everything I hoped it would be, and more!

Watch Failed after 1 Swim

Purchased this watch so I could Have something that was versatile and dependable in maritime environments. During my first training swim for an Iron Man, the watch clasp failed and fell off. I spent $300 on a high performance watch that was supposed to hold up under multiple different operating environments, and the watch failed the very first time I introduced It to a water environment. I will not be purchasing a Garmin product again - extremely disappointed with the lack of quality in this watch. It will not hold up under wet or maritime environments - Recommend looking elsewhere for products if you want a smart watch for triathlons, Spartan races, tough mudders, Iron Man’s, etc. This watch will not hold up to the simplest of stressors, even while brand new and fresh out of the box.

Accurate and comfortable

I was previously a Garmin owner and moved away to another brand. After several months of inaccurate tracking, it was time to go back to Garmin. The Vivoactive 6 came out and it was in my favorite color green. It was meant to be. Ive been wearing it most of the time and comparing the data between the two devices. It is definitely more accurate in tracking my steps and Im still learning how to track my workouts as the system has changed a bit in 8 years. I feel it gives me accurate data on the sleep, heart rate and other areas too.

More than worth the price.

I have had the Vivoactive 6 for 2 weeks upgrading from a FitBit Versa 2. My biggest issue is the size of the print, I thought I saw a place to make it bigger but can't relocate the place in settings. I like the battery 11 plus days compared to 2 maybe 3 on the FitBit. It was worth hassle to change exercise platforms. The only other issue I have is getting the steps to be equal in Connect and Google Fit. If you're on the fence and have a FitBit, just do it this watch has everything you're used to and more.

Such a gem!

I've had my Garmin vivoactive 6 for about a six weeks and love it. I ditched the Apple watch and am so enamored with the Garmin. It takes a while to refigure where everything is but it works. The Apple features bonked out - I had to charge it daily. I found a simple watch face (for my ADHD brain) and it's fantastic. Records my lifting session, walks, sleep quality, heart rate, breaths. And, it's dim at night!

Good not great

I’ve had my watch for almost a month and while I enjoy some of the health and tracking features, garmin could do a better job on design and layout. For the cost, the watch is very limited in features. The screen itself does not extend to the edge of the watch like the images make it seem giving less space to navigate with your finger. It also gives a cheap appearance. The battery life has been great though.

Awesome features

I bought this the day it came out, and I’m so happy I did. I don’t think I’ll ever go back to Apple. This watch is amazing and tops Apple in every way. The sleep function, combined with the battery life, is top-tier!
