I'm really digging my first few days in these shoes. Very snappy after my first 2 runs. One tempo workout (5miles) and 2nd bit longer on mixed terrain (12). Very good grip on 2nd run which was partly on gravel road. I really like them. They are firm compared to other shoes but I like that. The angled lacing give me a great lock in and no pressure on the top of my foot. Its got a very noticeable drop which probably why it feels so quick. The color laces and hit on the side make these also super fresh! I've been wearing at the office as well. I am very happy so far.
I do a 5k with my dog most mornings, and I have been trying out different running shoes. I had narrowed down the two best with brooks and asics, maximalist shoes. I don’t do anything longer than 10k, and one day I might try longer runs. But for now, I look for shoes that don’t beat my 55 year old bones up. After three runs in these, I can safely say that craft is now a viable option for future buys. Two things I’d like to see resolved - your mileage will vary - first is to make the uppers more cushioned. I expect these will be cooler than other shoes in the summer, but I’d trade a little warmth for more comfort. Second, while the cushion is good and not too heavy, I still prefer the feel of the brooks glycerin. By the way, you do need to purchase 1/2 size up from your normal size - these do run small.
