This is my first Gregory backpack. I bought it online after some researching and comparing to similar priced backpacks with capacity around 28 liters. I have two old The North Face backpacks which I'll use as a reference. Both are around 28 liters and cost between $50 and $75 with discounts. Unfortunately the Gregory Nano 24 feels very cheap in comparison. The fabric is rougher and the pack only has one internal organizing pocket. The water bladder pocket opening is too small for my 16" laptop and it doesn't have any padding at the bottom. I'll just use a laptop sleeve and throw it in the main compartment.
Great design, unlike many other brands it is made with durable materials, not super lightweight ready to rip fabrics. A great choice for an 8 hour day hike, room for everything, and comfortable.
I needed a pack that would allow me to carry warm clothing for overnight races. Nano 24 has plenty of storage space. Also, to carry enough fluids and calories for lengthy distances between aid stations. Deep mesh side pockets can be used for bottles and/or nutritional items. There's a sleeve for a bladder. Additional pockets are useful as one needs. Secures well and is easy to run in.
Embarrassingly, I hadn’t heard of Gregory, but out of the many packs I’ve had over the years, this hits it out of the park! By far the most comfortable light daypack I’ve ever had.
An awesome pack! I love the size. Big enough for layers but not so big it’s hard to manage. Have not tried it out on trail yet but exited to soon. Well constructed and fun colors!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This pack meets all my criteria for a perfect daypack. The front mesh pocket is great for stashing rain gear or a puffy for mountain summits!
Easy access to all compartments. Fits well to contours of my back. I am, however, tempted to install a more substantial waist belt.
just the right size for a day pack. 2 Liter hydration is about right.
