LOVE

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I held off on buying these because they seem kinda long but wow, they are just so great for biking and also for casual wear. I bought a second pair immediately. I love the weight - not too hot. I love the fact that they don't ride up when biking. I always have my iPhone in the side pocket and it is easy to zip and unzip for photo time. The fit is great and like the extra elastic to get them to stretch enough over my belly! My bike liners fit easily underneath. They work great for hiking as well. I love them! Love the light colors too - I got gray and that dusty pink. I am wearing the Astroman blouse in the photo fyi. Another new love.

Perfect For MTB

I love these shorts! Perfect for any sport but I want them for MTB. I wore the short over a biking short liner and had no issues. Full range of motion, stretchy and comfortable. I love the versatility and comfort of this short, you can wear them out on the town on a casual summer evening, hiking miles on the trail or climbing at your favorite crag. Absolutely awesome!!'

If you struggle with shorts buy this ones!

For the ones who have wide hips and struggles to find a short that FITS: This is it! Plenty of room for activities, I got a 12 and fits and fits like a large, I still have room for a pair of padded shorts if I'm going to be riding bikes, which is probably what I'm going to use them for. I tried them at home and loved right away. They have a stretchy belt line that I loved, the material is breathable and I think it would be a good fit for water adventures too! This is probably the first time I got something on the mail and wrote a review right away. For me is definitely hard to find shorts that are not tiny and they fit well. I will pass the word to my girl friends who always are looking for shorts that are comfortable.

Super Stretchy and Super Comfortable

I ride over 10 miles on MTB trails and felt so comfortable. This short is not tight so it allows air movement. I love the stretch and range of motion I get with these shorts while riding. The waist band is comfortable and doesn't dig in it bind you. I love the fact these shorts are made from 46% recycled materials, that to me is huge. I am wearing a chamois liner under shorts to insure proper comfort, I riding in 7th heaven. I'm a huge fan of Outdoor Research and their products. Love this update.

Was so good, I ordered a second pair!

These shorts are PERFECTION! All the things I love in bullet form:) 1. Chamois fits under them 2. Thick elastic waste band is comfy. I have other mtb bike brand shorts that were twice the price and not nearly as comfy. 3. Long enough that there's no gap between knee pads 4. I'm 5'3 and 125lbs. Size 2 was perfect 5. Didn't miss the back pockets. Side zipper pocket kept my phone snug and out of the way 6. Thanks OR for offering an affordable good quality mtb short

Thank you for bringing back the longer inseamed short

65 yrs old, height 5' 7', weight 155lbs, size 8 I spend days in a climbing harness teaching canyoneering courses around Moab, Utah. These shorts are awesome under a harness, long enough in the legs that they don't ride up and the high wide waistband eliminates chafing and keeps the shorts from riding down under a harness, backpack or hiking. I've purchased this short in every color/pattern and would buy more colors if they were available!

My new favorite bike shorts

I've worn a variety of other Ferrosi items, and I like those too; but these are truly prefect for biking. I've been between the OR size 4 and 6, and these size 4's fit perfect. They are just roomy enough to put over my bike chamois, and still be super comfortable. I LOVE the wide, soft waistband. AND...I've gotten more than one round of compliment on them...so feeling good about how they are looking.

Great Shorts!

I am a huge fan of the previous version of these longer shorts, so when I saw them back in the shop I jumped quick and got 2 pairs. I love the new waistband on these shorts and the deep front pockets! The material is light, durable, protects from sunburns, and stretches, making these shorts comfortable for many uses. While the side zipper pocket can be handy at times, I do wish they had back pockets though. I think even if OR just added one back pocket on the opposite side of the side zipper, they would be even more useful. I'm all about better and more pockets. The length is pretty good too, they come just to my knee. I like the longer shorts for more protection on hikes & other outdoor adventures. I think these could even be made an inch or so shorter and they'd still be long enough without being too short for some. Overall I really like these shorts and hope to see them in many more colors, with more pockets!

Excellent riding gear

These shorts are a perfect fit over a shammy or not. I have been using them on my mountain bike rides and the leg pocket is the perfect placement for my phone so it is not bouncing around on my leg. They are durable for biking and light enough to wear all season. They can also double as everyday wear shorts.

Love these for biking

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wore these on the Oregon Outback and they were great over bike shorts. Fits true to size, big pockets, and a perfect zippered side pocket so your phone doesn't get in the way when biking. Fabric is super light and breathable with just enough stretch to feel secure yet allow free movement while pedaling
