Big Disappointment

It's fine but if you're expecting decent battery life, I would get another watch. Typical battery drain is anywhere between 6-10% daily with all battery draining options (backlight always on, constant HR, etc) turned off. During activity mode isn't too bad with between 1-3% drain per hr. Support has also taken a huge hit. After a month of troubleshooting with Coros support where they initially deemed the daily battery drain unusual and worthy of troubleshooting, they've since decided it's normal and that they bear no responsibility to address the issue. This experience has turned a loyal Coros customer and evangelist into a skeptic that they will continue to do right by the customer.

GREAT WATCH

Love all the tracking specs for this watch! Super light, super basic and to the point! Also love that is has the ability to download maps and uses 5 GPS’s for accuracy! Great watch! If you have tattoos it can block the sensor, so if you have super dark tattoos on your wrist it might not be for you. Also, SUPERRRR long battery life! Love that!

A great upgrade from Apple Watch

I've been an Apple Watch user for 10 years, but decided it was time to transition to something with a better battery and integrated maps for hiking trips and trail runs. I went down the rabbit hole comparing Garmin, Suunto, and Coros watches (Apple Watch Ultra was just too expensive). I came out the other side picking the Coros Pace Pro and am super happy with it. Battery life is obviously way better than the Apple Watch. Garmin watches seemed a bit pricey and overly complicated. The Suunto Race S is very comparable to the Pace Pro, but I like the Coros app, watch face options, and styling better. Ultimately, everyone has different needs but for me this watch really hits the sweet spot of battery, price, features, and styling.

strongly recommend

Over the years I have used HR monitors from Garmin, Suunto, and Polar, and I have to say the Coros Pace Pro stands out from this field of pretty decent alternatives. I like pretty much everything about the Pace Pro: the accuracy of both the GPS and the HR, the hardware (I like the dial), and the software (both the one that runs the watch itself and the associated fitness analytics online). I strongly recommend this watch.

Awesome running watch

I got this to replace a Garmin Epix Pro (gen 2) that I "had to" give to my daughter when her Forerunner 945 could no longer hold a charge. This watch (which is only 1/3 of the price of a new Epix Pro!) has blown me away with how suited it is for runners. This review is mostly a comparison of this Corps to my Garmin, even though my Garmin was a higher-tiered premium watch. Pros: -The weight is noticeably less than that of my Garmin, but even lighter Garmin watches like the Forerunners are heavier than this Pace Pro. The weight is even lighter if you get a nylon band (you can get one on amazon instead of paying full price for a Coros branded one). This is important for me as I'm not a big heavy dude and I want as little as possible to interfere with my running mechanics and form. -The battery life is INSANE compared to a Garmin. I have been using my Coros for 14 days now, with 12 workouts during these 2 weeks, and I still have 25% battery life left. This was one of the main reasons I was willing to switch from Garmin to Coros, and it has not disappointed. -AMOLED screen is nice and bright, just like the newer Garmin watches -The watch and the app is designed specifically for runners. Garmin may be appealing to more people with the ability to track all sorts of activities, but I don't care about 95% of the stuff that they put in there, like Golf, Horseback Riding, Windsurfing, etc... Also, I don't need a ton of "challenges" and badges to keep me motivated... especially now with Garmin trying upsell everyone to get a "Connect Plus" subscription for $10 a month (are you kidding me?) Having a race to train for is enough motivation for me. -The Track running activity gives you the ability to easily change lanes in the middle of your track workout, which is useful to me. I usually like to go out to the wider lanes if I am doing any intervals at 400m or shorter. Another example of this watch being made specifically for runners. I could do it on my Garmin, but it took a lot more steps and digging into menus to find that option. -GPS accuracy is spot-on, especially with dual-frequency mode, even though I run in neighborhoods with a lot of shade/tree cover. -Way more training plans for intermediate to advanced runners in the Coros app -ECG function on the watch is a nice plus, though not an essential feature. I was surprised it was available on a watch this price. -Firmware updates seem to be pretty frequent - I've already had 2. The improvements were minor, but it is nice to know that Coros is constantly improving their software/firmware. Cons: -I really don't have any complaints about the watch, which is why I gave it 5 stars. -However, the online interface and app for Coros leave a lot to be desired. The Coros Training Hub (Dashboard) is definitely not as polished as Garmin's Connect dashboard. Stuff is just not easy to find. For example, I still haven't been able to find my shoe/gear mileages in the online dashboard, though they have this feature in the app -The app has awkward lags/delays when clicking on certain items -For strength training workouts, there is no option to edit names of training exercises, reps, and weight after the fact. All of this has to be done in the watch during the workout, with no ability to correct things afterward in the app, other than putting in plain text format in the Training Log section. -While it's good that there's not too much fluff and "over-tracking" being done in the app, it is surprising that they don't have menstrual tracking for women. (I have no interest in this as a man, but my daughter will NOT switch to Coros unless they add this feature, as it actually does have some bearing on her training and performance.) -I wouldn't trust the Coros glass screens to be as scratch-proof as Garmin's sapphire glass on their higher end models. Not a big deal, as I bought some tempered glass screen protectors for a few dollars on amazon, with no loss in display quality (and I would do this for any of Garmin's non-sapphire screens also) Hope this helps for any runners looking for a new watch! Coros, if you are reading this, you need to add menstrual tracking if you want to convert more female runners from Garmin!
