I have struggled with squishy shoes for the past couple years and was hoping that the NB Rebel would finally work for me at the v5. Sadly I think my anatomy wont work with the rebel lineup :/

True to fit. I’ve run about 50 miles in these, only getting better with every step. The color and design are show stoppers, people can’t get enough. Running backroads in the early, pre-sun time frame, allows for me to really stand out with the reflectors and bright ‘Urgent Red’ color scheme. These are daily runner, fast-paced runs, I’ve maxed out by mile 8 ish, could really feel the difference. I’d stick with these for those shorter runs.

I bought a pair of Rebel 4’s and thought they were best shoes I’ve ever walked in. But then after walking in the Rebel 5’s. The 5’s are the best shoes I’ve ever walked in! NB has slightly softened the heel strike. NB also improved a more responsive transfer forward from heel to toe. The shoe maintains the roomy toe box that I look for in my running shoes. But have made the shoe aesthetically made the Rebel 5 more streamlined. Absolutely love NB’s addition of there new earth tone color angora. So in concluding I’d like to say way to go New Balance on the forward improvements you’ve made on the Rebels fuel cells with your v5 improved edition.

The fuelcell feels very bouncy and soft and can be a decent training shoe for quick runs throughout different terrains. These fuelcells are great and the cost for these makes it even better
