A simple, nice design and lightweight backpack

I've been using this backpack for close to 2 months. It's a great and stylish model. I've been looking to find a simple, lightweight & slim backpack for office and urban commuting and without too much of sporty external accessories. I'd particularly like the water bottle mesh design . It won't easily loose, it could fit my 500 ml water bottle and the bottle is not visible from outside. Overall it's a great and comfortable backpack. One of the cons is the loose laptop sleeve. When I carry my laptop, I can feel the laptop that keep shuffling to my back while I'm walking. I need to put some files inside the sleeve therefore it could hold the laptop from shuffling. It would be good if Osprey could add laptop sleeve fastener inside.

Honestly, the BEST commuter bag ever!

Bought this bag a few months ago & am still in awe of what a great pack it is. It easily accommodates a laptop, lunch bag, & a book. I have weighed it down with additional items & yet it is still comfortable, due to the wide & nicely structured straps. The outside back pocket is just the right size for a wallet/phone/keys - & there's even a water bottle sleeve tucked into the side (although I mostly use this for an umbrella). The small strap pocket for my bus pass is the cherry on top - taut enough to keep the card safe, but easily reachable. My only regret is that I didn't buy this page sooner & replace the inadequate one I had.

This backpack is sturdy and

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This backpack is sturdy and well made. The zippers are heavy duty and look as though they will not jam or break like other packs I have owned. I like that the zipper on the external pocket is covered/concealed so that if someone tries to unzip it while you are wearing you will definitely know. I got caught in a heavy downpour yesterday and it kept the contents dry. This brand came highly recommended and though I have only had it a week, I am very happy with it.

Super soft material I love

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Super soft material I love that about the arcane series! It makes the bag pliable so you can adjust the items to fit. I only wish the interior was made of lighter colored material to make it easy to see stuff.

The backpack seems high quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The backpack seems high quality and has a lot of padding for a laptop and internal organization. I got the orange color and it’s a lovely shade. It’s also pretty comfortable to wear. A couple of items that aren’t so great: 1. Doesn’t fit a decent sized water bottle (i.e. 24 oz Hydroflask) well with the sleeve on the side and 2. As the backpack is pretty structured, the interior doesn’t hold much and seems very limited after I put in my water bottle and laptop. It barely fits in a flat-packed lunch at that point.

It's a solid bag and

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's a solid bag and I know it will last a lifetime. It's a great size for my 17" laptop and I can fit a light jacket, water bottle, small purse, and laptop accessories easily in it. I am not as bothered by the water bottle pocket as others are but I have a narrow, low profile water bottle that fits nicely in it (S'well brand). The J zipper doesn't bother me either though it limits your ability to open it while it's still hooked on one shoulder (meaning you can only do that feasibly on one side of your body). My big issue with the backpack is that the straps are really tight on my shoulders (which is ironic because I have very narrow shoulders--I wear women's size XXS/00 tops) and it distributes the weight high on my traps, practically in my neck. I personally would not buy this backpack model again.

Unfortunately, it's a no

Nice and small for what I needed. I did overlook two aspects. One, everyone else is correct the water bottle sleeve design is disappointing. Can fit a Yeti 18, but anything larger simple won't fit. Also, the top zip panel only unzips 3/4 of the way making it far less accessible. I don't know how I did not notice this. For my everyday to and from work I can deal with the short falls I overlooked, but in the end this pack is far less versatile than I was hoping.

A very comfortable, lightweight and slim pack for everyday

Whatever Osprey did to make something this comfortable, stick with it. The material on the straps and back are amazingly comfortable and soft. This bag is great for my office job. Carrying my laptop, gym clothes, lunchbox and 1L water bottle in a snug fit. There's space for more clothes if I am having a trip, a not very useful water bottle pocket which I never use, and a very handy card slot on the strap. I am a big fan of non-elastic pockets because those can get loose over time, if this pack ditched all the elastic pockets in favor of stiff cloth ones, I'll be sold on the next one as my last and final work bag. This bag can't work miracles of course, no matter how comfortable it is, it can give me some shoulder pain at the end of a long day, BUT it prevents me from sweating as easily as a similar North Face bag I own (Fusebox).
