The almost Perfect Hiking Shoe
Maybe the perfect hiking shoe. Solid waterproof construction for dry feet on those muddy days. The sole has that minimal feel that allows you to be aware of your footing, but not so minimal to lack giving feet the protection they need. Great traction of rocks, down trees, sand, just about everything I’ve trudged them through. Overall a great design. Only qualm is that the sole began to separate from the rest of the shoe a little before it really should have, but I partially blame the wet/rocky unforgiving terrain I usually hike in. Nothing a little super glue couldn’t fix. (Maybe something to revisit in a next generation design)
Thank you for your great review!
Exceeds expectations
Took these for a hike on a particularly warm day. Snow and slush and water. I was actually amazed how dry my feet were during and after the hike. Grip was also great on wet rock. 4 hours in Monadnock state park during the solar eclipse 😎
Thank you for your review! We are delighted that you had a positive experience with us.
Love them
I replaced the inside and it fits like a glove. I also replaced the laces with no tie, elastic laces, there is you to slip on and super comfortable to walk around in all day.
Great Everyday Barefoot Work Boot – Comfortable &
I’ve worn these Wrapt Mid Waterproof boots daily for the past 8 months as a residential electrician in Southern California. As someone who usually wears barefoot-style shoes (Vivobarefoot, Flux, Lems Primal, and Altra Lone Peaks), I was pleasantly surprised by how well these hold up in a work environment. Fit & Comfort: I wear a size 13 (EU 47), and the fit is perfect. If you’re in between sizes or prefer a roomier fit, definitely go up a size. These boots have a bit more cushion and slight arch support compared to more minimal brands like Vivo, but in a construction setting, I actually appreciate the extra sole thickness. My feet feel supported without losing that barefoot connection — and best of all, they’re not fatigued at the end of a long day. Performance: Traction is solid with good grip, though the aggressive lugs can hold onto dirt and debris. It hasn’t been an issue for me in SoCal, but it’s something to keep in mind in muddier regions. Waterproofing has held up well. Durability: After 8 months of use, the only real sign of wear is the toe box starting to separate slightly. Not a dealbreaker, but something I hope Merrell improves in future versions. Wishlist for Future Versions: • A non-waterproof high-top version would be amazing — same support, but more breathability for dry climates. • Stronger toe construction to improve long-term durability. Bottom Line: If you’re looking for a minimalist-inspired boot that can handle job sites, this is one of the best options out there. It strikes a rare balance between barefoot feel and real-world utility.

Awesome with flaws and needed upgrades
Shoes look and feel great. Definitely not waterproof like a rubber boot. Also put in lock laces as the laces are very long. Im new to barefoot so it not coming with an insole was different. Put in a pair of super feet and they fit perfect. Overall im switching from xtratuffs and I was looking for a slender looking shoe as I dont like the bulk look of men's shoes. Overall they fit the ticket even tho there are flaws in advertising and needed upgrades
Thank you. We value your feedback.
Zero drop with just a bit too much arch support
I started the break in period with these by doing some running out in the desert. They feel pretty good and are definitely zero drop. My only gripe is that at first they have fairly accentuated arch support. I brought these with me to Europe and put quite a few miles on them. The arch seemed to flatten out slightly, which made it more of a barefoot experience (which is what I was looking for). Now that they're broken in, they're my go to trail shoe.
Great Comfort; Questionable Traction
I love these boots! Extremely comfortable and wearable right out of the box. I would have given 5 stars except there traction is bad on wet surfaces and the tread wore out too quickly.
Put to the test first week out
Snow and mud while hiking Glacier National Park, along with some fly fishing on the Flathead and Clark Fork rivers and these boots held up very well.
We strive to be the best! Thank you!
Grip, comfort, waterproof, snug
Yo these shoes are the best! Super comfortable for my feet. Wide toe is great. Snug fit. Super grippy. I even play sports in them.
We love your great feedback!
