[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Best jacket ever! If you trek to the Cotopaxi, Ecuador, this is your gear at 15,700ft at base camp with a summit of 19,347ft. Combined with the pants or overalls, you're essentially in a environment suit. Light, breathable, movable, and protective gear from the elements (sun, wind, cold, snow, specks of volcanic sand). Compared to heavy, bulky, puffy wear from outer hikers, this was absolutely the best way to go! Be sure to get the Columbia hiking boot that attach to the bottom of the pants. Now you're good to go!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had the original version of this jacket for six years before it quit. Having an Outdry jacket that never wets out and requires no reapplication of a nondurable-water-repellency (dwr) treatment is really the way to go. I replaced it with a more stylish and full featured jacket from another company, but that delaminated in 8 months! So I've picked up this new Outdry and am happy so far. The pocket and hood designs are better than the original, and it seems a little lighter. It would benefit from pit zips. The white color of the original also started looking dirty pretty quickly (contrary to their marketing), but hopefully this off-white won't show it quite so soon. Medium fits well, even over a puffer (5'8" 170lbs)
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the jacket and pants set to keep dry while getting around campus. I love it - OutDry is the best and most waterproof material out there. I stay completely dry now and it's really comfortable - not hot and steamy like other rain gear. Getting a lot of compliments, my roommate even bought the same gear in another color. We're going hiking this weekend and will be testing our suits out on the trail. Thanks Columbia!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Incredible rain jacket. This jacket is light, packable, breathable and incredibly waterproof. I use it for hiking, trail running, golf, and around town. It's tough to find jackets that actually are waterproof and maintain some level of breathability and this is the best I've been able to find anywhere.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This rain jacket is excellent, the quality is very good and comfortable to wear. It protects 100% from rain and wind. Highly recommended.
Works extremely well. better than GoreTex as it’s the material not a spray
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Light weight, packable, comfortable, hope it hold up.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So comfy and super waterproof. Really soft interior.
