A HUGE disappointment
Our family bought this for a 3-week trip to various islands and beaches in the Mediterranean. We liked the fact that it was light and durable. What a disappointment! This "cooler" barely keeps contents "chilled" (not cold) as the ice melts within an hour or so. The top does not seal well and pops off easily. The cube shape is uncomfortable to carry, especially when full. (No shoulder strap is provided, but our improvised one didn't alleviate this problem.). We returned this item and would not recommend it. A cooler needs to keep contents cold, not barely chilled. Who really cares if you can drive over it with your car?
We were in search of a cooler that could keep up with our active lifestyle as we are always on the go, running from one kid's activity to the next. We were tired of carrying a huge cooler that occupied the entire back seat. Fortunately, the FOAM Portable cooler came to our rescue with its small size but big features. It is also super cute! Recently, we went on a river float and the FOAM Portable cooler floated down the river towed behind our raft even when it was full. It was an amazing experience to have cold drinks and snacks throughout the trip. This cooler is perfect for all our wild adventures as it can withstand anything that comes its way.
I recently purchased the white version of this cooler, which initially reminded me of the traditional foam coolers but proved to be much sturdier. The design, which I grew to appreciate, is both durable and lightweight, making it easy to carry around. I even took it on a bus ride without worrying about any leaks. This cooler is an excellent choice for short trips if you're looking for something low-profile yet reliable. A couple of pro tips: store the cooler in a cool, dry place to maintain its condition, and for optimal cooling, pre-chill it in the fridge before use. It really does help keep things colder for longer!
Cool but not cold drinks
I bought this for a trip to a lodge with no mini fridge, for drinks and cheese. It worked for the 3 hour drive, but overnight, even with replenished ice, the drinks were cool but not cold the next day. I kept replenishing the ice, so it worked barely ok for our needs. It was just not as cold as I had hoped. The cooler is light for carrying and it definitely did not leak. It’s also easy to clean, and did not pick up odors. It will be great for day trips or picnics. It would help if the lid had a tighter seal, maybe with a way to tighten the strap once it is snapped closed.
We love this cooler so much, I just ordered a second color for my wife! We've used it quite a few times at the beach and up in the mountains and it always works great for the family. Earlier this year I put a gallon of ice cream in it and threw it is a duffle bag in the bed of the truck. We don't have any covering over the truck bed so the bag was in direct sunlight. We drove 3 hours home from the mountains and when we got home the ice cream was still solid! This cooler really does work well. Aside from keeping food cool, the cooler is just nice to use. It's soft and comfortable, unlike our old hard shelled cooler. It's super durable and easy to clean too, which is a huge step up from soft cooler bags I've had in the past. So pretty awesome no matter how you look at it.
Oddly Satisfying! I bought mine on a Kickstarter campaign. After seeing the videos of the durability tests and ease of carry for a small cooler I had to try it. If you need a day trip, lake, or quick grab cooler, this is the one. Plus it's oddly satisfying to squish the lid. Maybe it's a texture thing I had owned a Small Pelican cooler prior to this one and I prefer the FOAM now. I got the limited white body w/ blue and pink swirl lid.
Love, Love, LOVE! This cooler! The size is perfect for a day trip anywhere and it is not bulky to pack in a car. It holds 30 cans like they said, a layer of 16 cans upright for the bottom layer then you can put 14 cans on their sides in 2 layers, plus room for ice. I put it in our hot tub to see if it would float full and it did! You have to make sure it’s balanced but after a few cans are gone that didn’t matter. The lid also floats and was great to hold a drink or 2. My 4 year old sat inside the cooler as soon as we opened it and loved playing with it too. The color is so vibrant and fun. We have used it a few times now and contents have stayed cold all day. I really liked that the cooler is small and light enough that my wife could easily carry it as well. I didn’t have to always be the pack mule. Highly recommend this item and it came with fun details about the cooler and company.
The size is great to keep in the car making it super easy to take snacks and drinks on the go. We can pack SO much with us every time and never have to worry about stopping to get something cold, because it insulates everything so well. I always have a nice, healthier drink option with me for the kids and it's so nice how it’s flexible because it makes it even easier to pack. We love it
Will be purchasing more! This is such a great gift for the summer since it is so lightweight to bring to the beach and barbecues. It fits everything I need and is an awesome deal for the price. I wanted a cooler that I can bring to the beach that was not a pain to clean out after and this is so easy to just throw in the dishwasher, highly recommend!
This is my FOAM’s first airplane ride. He was kind of scared but he has been very brave now that he is at my feet. He doesn’t quite fit under the seat with the lid on but when I flipped the lid upside down he was able to snuggle up tight. Also, his upside down lid caught my phone when it tumbled out of my hand. He was so proud to assist.
