A headlamp this expensive should have been better designed and easier to use. First problem is the single program button, it is not intuitive. The same button turns the light on, off, red light on/off, dimmer, etc. Its cumbersome and annoying, just give me an on/off switch please, The bigger problem is the Proprietary Charger, which is odd and magnetic. And it doesn't hold tight, the magnet often comes off the port and the headlamp stops charging. I plug it into charge the night before a trip and though it was ready by the morning. But the magnet had come lose and it stopped charging... I had to rely on my backup and trusted Black Diamond for that Adirondack trip. Now, after 4 years of occasional use, that single button has stopped working, not I have to press it a dozen times just to turn the lamp on, then a dozen times to dim it, and another half dozen times to turn it off. Its just not responsive. Very annoyed I spent this much money on a lamp that is inferior to my Black Diamond that cost half the price. Avoid it until the folks at LED Lenser figure how to design a better switch and better charging system (USB C like everyone else).
I am very pleased with the H&7R Core headlamp. I have a couple H15R Core lamps and the 7R has a tighter focus than the 15R and slightly less bulky. Ledlenser build quality is better than any other headlamp I've owned and I have had a lot of them (Princeton tec, petzl, etc.) The rechargeable feature is a huge benefit after having thrown away hundreds of batteries over the years. this is my 7th Ledlenser headlamp, won't be the last.
I have owned my H7R CORE for three (3) years. I use the light, full-time, to work on automobiles. Very happy with the battery life and light intensity. Charges quickly. My only complaint is the elastic headband has lost flexibility.
Very high-quality headlamp. Really like the fact that it is rechargeable as I throw away a lot of batteries with my old lamp. I also have the H15R and like the tighter focus on the H7R Be nice if Ledlenser would make a bicycle light.
I absolutely love how light weight and bright this light is it’s nearly just as bright and just as good as the h15r core for less money! I have both lights and I love them both! Wouldn’t have any other light other than ledlenser!
The focus system on Ledlenser lights are very nice and really sets them apart from others. The continuously variable dimmer adds another level of versatility. Very bright light with good run time. Recommended.
This is a super light weight comfortable to wear headlamp. Especially when you consider the incredible amount of light it throws. And I really appreciate the long lasting rechargeable battery.
Have owned a lot of different lights, and so far this is the best overall light. The ability to adjust from flood to spot is the best.
What a quality made piece of equipment. Well made easy to use and has a great warranty to back it up
