Pocket Sized Filter!

This product from Sawyer was clearly an upgrade from previous models/products I’ve owned. The whole setup is lightweight and generally compact enough to carry in a jacket pocket. The water tasted crisp and clean—even when filtered straight from a river full of algae. I used the filter in multiple outdoor settings and I did wait 2 weeks to write this review to ensure the filter worked adequately and I didn’t get sick! The filter is easy to clean and comes with a syringe and clear instructions. I did run into a couple of issues. The filter packaging advertised that the filter with a full bag of water could be stowed in the front pocket of a running vest. However, the filter is slightly too large and not firm enough to comfortably fit in the front pocket of my running pack. I ended up stowing it in the rear mesh pocket during runs, which meant it was not as easily accessible. It was small and light enough to tuck in a rear pocket of the running pack while using it to refill other bottles or a hydration pouch. Also, the mouth of the water pouch is quite small, and the soft, flexible bag can be tricky to fill from shallow or slow-moving sources. That said, I’d still recommend this product to hikers or mountain bikers looking for a quick, portable filtration option—as long as your pack setup can accommodate the size. It is a very handy tool to bring along if you have consistent access to water. I even left my water bottle behind for an entire hike and relied on the Sawyer pouch to rehydrate myself (and my dog:) along the way. Sawyer provided me with this product for free in exchange for an honest review.

Fantastic and Collapsible

I've been able to use the Sawyer Micro Squeeze with 750-ML Pouch on my recent hikes and relied on it as my sole source for water. Being able to roll it and store it in a side pocket of my bag or just in my pocket has been fantastic. I've tried the filter in both clearer running water from a stream and some siltier runoff and everytime it's been crisp and refreshing. The included tube for cleaning the filter was nice to have and keep handing for when the time comes. As a bonus, the the filter even screws directly onto a standard threaded water bottle in case you need some flexibility in your setup. Drinking from this was a breeze as well since you're able to give the bottle a squeeze to push the water through the water and drink from the mouthpiece like a standard sports bottle. Needless to say, I'm replacing my old pump filter as this one has been far more convenient. This will be a staple in my hiking gear and accompanying me on an arctic hike later this year! Stashable Filter FTW

Loved this filter for hiking and riding cause it’s so stashable! The flow rate of the filter was much better than any of the other Sawyers that I’ve used before, and the bag was a lot more durable than the old plastic bag style. Still no solution to the fact that it’s hard to fill up those bags in a water source, But I think that’s a minor problem considering how fast you can fill bottles up with the higher flow rate.

New Favorite Micro Filter!!

I just received the sawyer Micro Squeeze Water Filtration System 750ml pouch a few weeks ago and love it! Its durable/packable pouch makes it very to fit into your pack. I also really like that, with proper care, the filter can last up to 100,000 gallons. I am no where near that amount through it yet but the longer lasting filter brings peace of mind on my hunting/backpacking trips where so can my pack all my water in. This is an awesome filter if you are looking for something compact, lightweight, easy to use/clean, and durable. The only thing I would recommend is if you are needing to filter a lot of water for more people than just yourself, you may want a bigger filter that will allow a constant flow of water without having to refill a pouch multiple times. That being said, this filter is awesome and will be coming with me on all of my trips from now on. Sawyer Products gave me this free product to try.

Sawyer Makes Quality Products!!!

First off, thank you Sawyer for giving me this free product to test and review. I enjoy doing this so others may make an informed choice. I took my Micro Squeeze on a hike without a pack but wanted water with me. I also took it backpacking and on multiple day hikes. Drinking unfiltered water in the Sierra or any backcountry area is not a good thing and has real consequences! Taking antibiotics to avoid getting sick or getting sick is just plain awful!!! I absolutely hate iodine tablets. I’ve been using Sawyer products for a few years and I love their filters. The new micro squeeze has become my favorite. It’s really easy to use, fill your pouch, place the filter on the pouch and you’re drinking clean water. It’s truly that easy. It held up to multiple uses over the past month. The flow rate is actually pretty good considering and my water tasted great. It’s perfect for through hikers, day hikers, runners and perfect for taking a long walk. It does leak a little if it folds over in a pocket or pouch in my pack but if I keep it fully up right, I had no issues. To me that’s not a deal breaker. Cleaning is super easy as well. Wash your pouch, back fill your filter with clean water and you’re ready for the next adventure. I highly recommend this product if you want a light weight option and don’t want to carry a bladder of water with you. Thank you again Sawyer, I’m grateful I had this opportunity.

The new pouch is a great update!

I had an opportunity to test out the Sawyer Squeeze filter with the new 750 ml squeeze pouch. The squeeze filter is the same quality filter that Sawyer has previously made available, the new pouch is a soft, durable TPU pouch that is much more pliable and soft that the previous style pouches. Through several different hikes I was able to test the water flow through the filter and was happy with the speed that I could drain the pouch with just a little pressure. The included cap is convenient if you want to leave the pouch full and drink directly from it as you are hiking, or to prevent any remaining water from dripping out once it's back in your pack. The Sawyer filters benefit from back flushing to keep the flow going, but so far I haven't noticed the flow slowing down in about a dozen uses. Fortunately, I've been able to locate clear streams, the filter may clog quicker if the water isn't as clean from the source. Sawyer Products gave me this free product to try.

Rad...

Sawyer has finally figured out the bag and the blue coupling! There's a lot of feedback out there about the flow rate on this being slower than the standard size. I saw none of that. Make sure everything isn't screwed in too tight to the coupling. If it is it won't vent the air and will just create a vacuum. The 750ml bladder is definitely an upgrade from those trash bags they used to sell it really could have been a solid 1L so you could carry a spare, complete fill, to your 1L carry bottle. And you can't hang the bag that would have been a nice option.

Absoloutely love this filter/bag combo

The experience I had with this product really blew away my expectations. I used this while trail running this winter and was amazed at how fast I was able to collect and filter water with this combination. The cnoc bag is awesome and the flow rate for the size blew me away. This can be used by anyone looking to filter water on the go whether in the backcountry or at home! The cnoc bags are a huge step up from their previous water bags
