When fitting, be sure to allow a full thumb’s width in front of your toes. If your feet are used to cramped toe boxes, Altra shoes may feel a little big at first. Give your toes some time to get used to the newfound wiggle room.

Original Fit: The fit that started it all, Original is the roomiest of the 3 options from Altra.
Standard Fit: The most common fit from Altra is right in the middle of Original and Slim.

Too tight! Do not fit like old Superiors. My Superior 4.5s fit perfectly, but these are so tight I barely got my foot in. Then I loosened the laces all the way and realized it wasn’t the laces but the actual shoes weren’t made wide enough.

This is an excellent shoe. I have a really hard time finding shoes that are supportive and soft with some flex since I have a fused ankle. This shoe has truly change my life and given me all of that and more.

I love the look of this shoe and the Altras I have bought have always fit great right out of the box. Not this shoe. It is painfully tight and will never fit well. I returned them immediately. I am really disappointed because it is a great looking shoe.

I used to love the superior 5 was my fave sneaker . But they changed the fabric and now it is stiff, making it tight across the upper foot. Loosening laces & going a size up won’t fix this. Really sad they had to change this shoe for no reason.

Super comfy from day one! Wide toe box with a good heel fit. I wasn't sure about the tongue being sewn to one side by the eyelets but it works well, keeping it centered and in place. True to fit, I wear size 10. Nice color, too.

This is the 4th pair of Altra shoes I’ve ordered. It is the first pair that did not fit. Tooooo small. Now I will have to deal with the hassle of returning the, and trying to find another pair.

I’ve been wearing Altra brand in the same size for 6 years and this one was tight and uncomfortable I would not use them at all and chose to return them to the store.

as others have said, it is too tight by the laces. you can only adjust it so much because the tongue is attached. had to return them.

Not true to size. This shoe runs extremely narrow and short. Doesn't feel like an Altra wide toe box at all.
