Hose kink fix

I actually was disappointed enough in this to return it, so I can't speak of long-term durability or anything, but I will address one really annoying issue: the hoses that come out the bottom get pinched by the stiff gray standing collar or the angle of pulling on them or both. I did manage to find a workaround solution to this: pull the hose off the barbed fitting on the bag and slip a 4" or so piece of 1/2" PVC tube over the hose. It will keep that first few inch section from buckling. You can probably ask a plumber for a piece of this and they might have it laying around.

Watch that main valve

I bought this to wash dishes on my long camping trips and a shower if needed! I loved the continuous spray option. I read A LOT or reviews and watched a few videos on this product they all had the same complaint that they could not get the tank to pressurize. I bought this on sale so I was willing to risk it the first 4 times I sealed the top just fine and had no issues pressurizing the tank on the last day the last round of dishes I opened it to fill with water and could not get the top valve to seal I swear I tried like 20 times, I could hear air leaking out of the top each time. I finally gave up packed it away and told myself to try another day.

Better option that a non pressurized bag shower.

I have had this shower for about 3 years and used it in some extended canoe trips in Canada. It works pretty well but you do have to pump up the bag during the shower. This is relatively easy as the pump at your feet and you just have to step on it a few times. Don't be tempted to overfill the bag as it takes air to make it work properly. The air is what you are compressing with the pump and it pushed the water out. There is still plenty of water to get a shower. We have learned to partially fill the water and then heat some water on the stove and add that in. Use water that is not hot enough to burn you. This makes the shower warmer and more comfortable. The reason I did not give it 5 stars is that I wish the opening were slightly larger as it can be precarious to add warm water with 1 person. This shower is much better than trying to hang a non-pressurized shower bag high enough to actually make it work. This can be done but is difficult in the back country.

Most disappointing Nemo purchase I have ever made.

I have other Nemo products and have had good results with them, and then I bought this. Not only did it break during it's second fill up, with air escaping and no ability to stop it because there is no gasket in the lid, the pressure is unacceptable and renders this completely useless. After filling and pressurizing, the water barely comes out and you get more pressure from you kitchen sink spray handle. If that's all you need to remove mud, dirt, or even sea water off of you then I suppose this may work for you. In my experience, it is definitely not enough. While filled, this bag is extremely heavy, as expected for such a generous capacity, but the rubber handles attached to the bag don't leave one feeling confident that it would hold that weight so moving it is cumbersome and nerve wracking. The only good thing that I can post about this is that it is compact when it is stowed and the hose length is great. Unfortunately, that's enough to make this worth any of your money. Skip it and buy something else.

Does not work like it should

So the pump feature just doesn’t work. You can pump it. It’ll fill the tank with air to pressurize it. But the moment you use the nozzle, water just drips, only if you have the nozzle up to your hip. Anything higher than that, you can forget it dripping. I just put the tank on top of my Jeep and let gravity do its thing. That’s the only way it works. Gravity. Not pressure. Not a good product. All the other NEMO products I have work flawlessly.

Flow is very low

The unit is light weight and stowable, and so far has held up to light use. The major downfall is that even with what seems like very high air pressure the water flow is dismal. It's no more pressure than a water cube sitting on the edge of a table. I pumped the bag up as much as I thought was safe just to get a trickle out of it while it was sitting on the ground. And as others said, you have to keep pumping steadily to keep it flowing especially when it's near full. Nice idea but not fully cooked yet.

Amazing

I was hesitant getting this shower based on pressure reviews. Needless to say after a week on the road with my wife and four kids and no shower access, we were delighted to use the Nemo Helio LX. We used a basin to catch water and emptied after each shower. Pressure was not an issue whatsoever. This will join us on each trip! (Leave our in the sun for a warm shower at the end of the day)

Does not work at all. Will return.

Does not work at all. Will return. It's basically just a bag that you can fill up with water and have with you at your site. The pump will only pump out water if you are constantly using the foot pedal to disburse it - and I mean constantly. You can pump and pump and pump your heart's desire, but there will be no water when you stop pumping. This was an incredibly expensive water bag. I plan on returning it.

Great Product

This is an awesome product. Used it car camping and didn't realize how useful it was until I found myself using it for everything from rinsing off, cleaning dishes, to even putting out the campfire when we left.

a great option

This product works as it should. We used on a month long road trip with no issues. I’m impressed with the build quality and that it has a lifetime warranty. Not sure about the negative reviews here and what people were expecting. I believe it works as it should and is the best option on the market.
