Nice and practical cooler!
The REI Co-op Campwell 18 L Folding Cooler is a fantastic choice for outdoor enthusiasts. It comes in a vibrant cool orange color, adding a fun touch to any adventure. The cooler is surprisingly spacious, easily accommodating larger items such as half-gallon cartons, making it perfect for small groups. Its dual carrying system allows you to carry it by the handles or over your shoulder, which is particularly useful at campsites or beaches. Seemingly sturdy enough for casual outdoor use, it keeps items cold for a reasonable amount of time. The cooler's collapsible design is also a bonus, allowing it to be folded flat for easy storage. Great cool (not frozen) cooler for quick trips!
I really like the functionality of this cooler being able to fold flat and its very flexible which is great for keeping in car. I would not recommend this cooler for frozen foods or long trips. It doesn't seem to be insulated enough to keep food cool for an extended period of time and it also soaks through with water if you put ice in it. I used it for a road trip and since the food i put in it wasn't cold critical it was fine, but the food was getting warm for sure by the end of the day and the bottom of the bag was wet. There was still ice in the bag so it was doing ok. I think the toggle to make it adjustable size needs some work because it easily comes apart especially when packing it and I kept having to re-hook it to have a flat bottom. The one thing I think would have been really great is if this bag had a pocket where you could slide it onto luggage. Traveling with it was a bit annoying because it didn't sit well on top of other things, only on the ground. If i could have attached it to another bag or it had adjustable handles it would have been a lot better. Overall I do think its a great bag for things like farmers markets or picnics, but not something I would take again on a longer trip or into woods. I will probably leave it in my car as its nice that it goes flat.
Cooler that keeps drinks cold and stores easily!
I've used this cooler for about a month now, from everything to a neighborhood bbq to an all-day picnic. This keeps drinks cold, especially with reusable ice packs. It's easy to clean out and dry. I love that it flattens completely for storage. It did take me a few tries to get the corners folded until I looked at the picture on the tag. Now that I know how to do it, it's pretty easy. I only wish the side pocket had a zipper closure.
on the spot purchase
Found this cooler while getting a few things at the REI store and decided to try it out. Fits 12 bottle or cans with room to spare. It’s durable and I like the colors as well. Wasn’t too expensive for a simple carry cooler. Would recommend as a lighter more flexible alternative. Definitely going to be using this again!!
This thing is great!
I love this cooler. It is light, keeps drinks cold for a long time, and when you are done with it, it folds up flat for easy storage. I highly recommend this. I recently used my on a road trip to Cali and it fit perfectly in the back of the car between the seat and the middle console, making access easy. This is also made easier by the zipper which allows you to easily zip open the top and grab a drink while driving.
Best for transporting groceries
Just what we needed to transport cool/cold/frozen groceries from the store back to our RV. All been there buy a frozen item in summer and melted when you get back to camp. Until they out stores in the wilderness this is the answer. Great shape means you have plenty of room then it stores flat, win win.
Very versatile, well made
I got this mainly to keep in my car for when i need something to keep my groceries cold or to transport cold food from my house to a campground or elsewhere. It works very well keeping whatever i need cold for hours. And i can configure it to fold up and store flat or make it into a tote or cube. All work very well. Seams, materials, handles, toggles, all great quality.
Great folding cooler
works very well to transport our groceries from home to the cabin. Our old playmate cooler was broken…we looked at prices and thought it was more economical in terms of shorter trips to use this.
Pleasantly surprised
Bought this to take to the beach. It was great. Have used it for several car trips since then.
