Note: I wear a 9.5 xero Denver boot and found I needed a 10 in this for a similar fit. Once I got the size right, I took these out on some lakeside trails to test them on rocks and mud. They’re so light, so comfortable, and so waterproof. Level of padding in the sole is exactly where I wanted it. Feels like a barefoot shoe, but sharp rocks don’t hurt to step on. Couldn’t make a better shoe
Had these about a month. Needed half a size up from my normal. Never had to break them in. Fit great from the get go. Super waterproof and dry out quicker than other waterproof boots. Did 20 miles with 3500 feet of elevation gain/loss on a hot day, not so much as a blister (normally I’m prone to get a few hotspots after 5 miles in other shoes and boots). Pairs well with a low/mid weight wool sock. Could grip rocks a bit better, but so could most boots.
