[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great shoe honestly, you can compare it to the 1080 in a way, not as squishy but rather on the firmer side. Used it on a couple runs, daily/casual, and also to the gym and they were great for all these activities in sure they’d be great for others. I’d recommend to anyone out there and even though they’re a bit firm they are still very comfortable and breathable.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Finished my first few workouts in these and couldn’t be happier. At first, they were a bit taller than anything I’ve had in the past so was unsure. After a couple runs, I got used to that and I can’t believe the comfort. They may be the most comfortable shoes I’ve worn, and they’re breathable enough for my liking too. They’ll definitely be my new regular runners, and I think I’ll be reaching for them more than any of the others. Fits true to size!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Loved the comfort of these shoes! I went for a casual 5k through Central Park and surprising felt comfortable the whole way with good stability and comfort. I then used them at the gym for some lifting and they were way better than my regular gym shoes at absorbing the extra weight. Overall really happy with how they perform as an all around running and training shoe!
Love my New Balances. The toe box is spacious, the sole is supportive, and cushions my steps well. I bought these shoes specifically for work since I’m a medical professional and I’m on my feet for 10+ hours a day.
This is my 4th generation of 880's, and 6th pair overall. I wear them as my daily active recovery/walking shoe. They seem to run a tad small and narrow in the toe box for me, as far as the v14 and now the v15 goes anyways. The v12 and v13' fit me more t2s. Of course I wish they were true to size for me, but i went 1 full size and went wide. NB did take advice and lengthened the shoe laces, so that is a win, as well. The 880 v14 laces were so short I had to replace them. All in all I feel there are a mild but noticable improvements over the 880v14s. Styling is very similar. The comfort once I have size dialed in is what always keeps me coming back to the 880's. They are cushioned but supportive. I will continue to buy them.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This shoe is much lighter than it looks. I’ve used it to run, walk, incline-treadmill walk, and train in. It’s been adaptable for all of it. They’re very comfortable, something you expect from New Balance. The toe box area is wider than what you’d find in another brand; my toes had room to breathe. The foam is definitely thick and you will find bounce and support from that. I wouldn’t recommend using them for squatting or leg day exercises, but again, they’re running shoes and they have many uses. I found it to provide all day comfort from running, exercising, then random weekend errands from shopping to exploring. I got the black on black. My only recommendation would be to try a different color. The black on black combo was very dark and doesn’t look as appealing or fun/cool as the other colors. I wish it had some white to make it less subtle. I’d definitely recommend trying the linen color instead; it looks really nice.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Performance-wise the 880 v15s hold true to your standard daily trainer. It’s not a super-trainer that will “wow” you (i.e. no aggressive rocker, no carbon/nylon plate), but it does have the right balance of cushion and stability to make for a great everyday shoe. For someone who is recovering from a knee injury, the shoe has the right amount of cushion for comfort while still maintaining a responsiveness that suits me for runs ranging from 3 miles to 10 miles. I personally also like the aesthetics of the 880s, and definitely think they have found a spot in rotation of “daily trainers”
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having put over 700 miles on the 880v14 in 2024, I was eager to try the updated 880v15. The biggest change is found in the midsole. The 880v15 is noticeably higher stack than the v14 which results in an overall more protected ride. The foam itself feels a bit firmer than last year which may help with stability. It is yet to be seen whether the foam will soften up over time as the shoe is broken in. The upper is new this year and it is soft to the touch and feels good on foot. Tongue, heel lockdown, and laces remain similar if not the same from the v14. From a fit perspective, these run true to size. The fit is nearly identical to the v14 albeit maybe slightly narrower in the toe box (but this caused no issues on foot and this is by no means a narrow shoe). Lockdown around the midfoot for the 880v15 is a familiar feeling for those already familiar with the 880 line. Overall I am pleased with this shoe and think that it will continue to be a solid choice for easy runs, recovery runs, everyday miles, and even long runs.
Great shoe. A tick less spongy than the 1080s… which I’ve always worn, but unfortunately in the last few generations of the 1080s I’ve experienced manufacturing problems, so now I’m sticking with the 880s. Still super comfortable, and plenty of support — even for me at 6’-5”, 250lbs. The only thing I wish is that NB would start coming out with some louder, more dynamic colorways instead of the soft, grandma colorways they’re selling now. My only choice was the black on black, which I never would have ordered, but I felt I had no choice unless I wanted to look like I was 80.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The NB Fresh Foam X 880 v15 was a great show for my easy run today. The fit was true to size and I immediately felt like the new version had cushion than the previous 880. The shoes still felt light and responsive as well.
