Sizing Notes
Measurements are stated in inches unless otherwise indicated. Size chart values represent body measurements, not garment measurements.
SHORT: Some pants are available in short sizes, which generally means an inseam that is 2.5 inches shorter than regular sizes.
TALL: Some pants, shirts, jackets and parkas are available in tall sizes, which generally means an inseam that is 3 inches longer and a rise that is 1 inch longer, a shirt or jacket body that is 2 inches longer, a parka body that is 2.5 inches longer and sleeves that are 2.5 inches longer than regular sizes.
Capri or cropped pants have an intentionally shorter inseam—reference the technical specs instead of this chart.
Inseam is measured to the floor.

Great multi-purpose shirt
The shirt is made of nylon & spandex that offers comfort and flexibility. I wore it around town as well as active events including Thursday night Axe League and a trip to Breckenridge on 2/10. This shirt is comfortable while active or casual. The material does not bind and provides plenty of freedom of movement. The fit is TRUE. I'm 47" chest which used to be XL; however, several manufactures are now making XL products that are really Large forcing me to purchase XXL. Thank you for making this a true XL that fits great. The product I received is very colorful. My wife and friends all commented on how great the shirt looks. Perfect for on-the-go activities or at the neighborhood BBQ. I’m not sure if I would have selected this exact color scheme, but I am grateful for REI sending it to me as its quickly becoming one of my favorite shirts in my closet. The chest pocket is great for small items like cash, driver’s license, small wallet etc. It’s not big enough for a phone but I wouldn’t carry my phone in a chest pocket on a shirt. The zipper is stout and looks like it will stand up to harsh treatment. Since its winter here in Colorado and we’ve had an unusual cold spell since November, there is snow everywhere which limited outside activities. Based on the Nylon/Spandex blend, I would expect this shirt to perform well in several environments. While Skiing, it provided just enough protection that I only needed a shell for a jacket. I started with a light mid layer but quickly took it off as I was too warm. The only knock are the buttons/buttonholes. The fit with the buttons and buttonholes is tight. The buttons appear to be made of some type of hard silicone that are grippy. The first time unbuttoning the shirt was difficult but seems to get easier each time I wear the shirt and is not restrictive when taking off the shirt but not fast either.
A stress free travel shirt!
The shirt arrived flawlessly. With a new shirt, I tend to look for irregularities in stitching, loose threads and such, that may cause quality issues down the line. Upon inspection, the shirt was well made. For travel, I need a low care option. At home I tried out line drying and machine drying, and both resulted in minimal wrinkling. Next, the test of travel. I took the shirt on the road to Maldives and Vietnam for three weeks. Sometimes I hand washed and others the shirt was laundered. Each refresh of the shirt continued to result in minimal wrinkling. It breathed well in high heat and humidity and had just enough stretch to help me stay active. It's a winner!
Great warm weather shirt
Had a little bit of a hard time giving this shirt a proper outdoor test given it is winter in Colorado where I live and at the moment it is 6 degrees. But really like the fit, style and features of this shirt and know it will be a fave to wear for outdoor activities in warmer weather! [note: I did receive free product in return for an honest review]
Wore every day for 101 days and 1,500km
Wore this shirt every day for my 101 day thruhike of the Trans-Caucasian Trail 1,500km through Georgia and Armenia. Held up incredibly well. Doesn't stick to the skin even when drenched in sweat and also works fine in the cold (with other layers.) It did not wear through at all which is impressive. On my last thruhike I went through 3 shirts. It also handled a lot of bushwacking with thorns and only had one small rip. The color faded a bit in the sun but I'll call that a feature not a bug.
Surpassed my expectations
I absolutely love the look and feel of the blue shirt that I purchased. When I initially bought it, I was a bit unsure about using it for hiking, but it really exceeded my expectations. During my summer road trip in Utah, I put it to the test and found that I could wear it for three days in very warm conditions. Not only is it functional, but it also gives off a super cool vibe. I've even started wearing it to the office. I'm so impressed that I plan to purchase the same shirt in another color.
Great tall shirts; another pocket would be nice.
Great shirts! The fit is excellent - I am so glad tall sizes are available; the Large Tall fits me very well. It's between a slim and regular fit. They're very comfortable in hot weather, look great, consistent in size, and are well made. I found my new standard summer shirt! The biggest drawback of the shirt is just having the single side zip breast pocket on the left side. It's large enough to fit a passport or wallet, but not tall enough to fit a phone. It would be the perfect shirt if it had a normal top loading pocket on the right side in addition to the zip pocket. Lastly, I wish more colors were available. More formal looking solid colors would be excellent.
Great Multiple Use Shirt
I picked this up in my local REI about a month ago after watching PCT & AT hikers who wear similar shirts. I consider myself in the “ultralight” crowd and don't mind being “fashionable” while on the trail. I did a day hike to The King & Queens seat wearing this and my Flash 22 daypack. The Nylon Spandex fabric is very comfortable and wicks moisture well. Im not a fan of popped collars, but I found it advantageous when up and in conjunction with my fleece to keep my neck warm against wind gusts. I found the front pocket helpful, and I wear this shirt to work now, also.
Fantastic
I'm a true size large in every other REI shirt (5'11", 44" chest and broad shoulders). In this particular shirt, a medium fits perfectly. The large is like an XL in other shirts. Recommend to purchase one size down. The shirt itself is fantastic, is of very high quality, dries easily, has a zipper to store keys/wallet, and has a hook for sunglasses. I have all three colors; and, like other reviewers, I wish the shirt was made in more colors.
Great Warm Weather Sun Shirt
Purchased this shirt to try it out as a warm day (>80F) shirt for social outing and golf. Golf was the first wear on a very warm day and for me it worked very well. Well enough that I'm going to buy another one. My only wish was a few more colors to choose from. It was very cool and when sweating it seems to wick away and it did not get wet and stiff like a cotton t-shirt, but stayed light fitting (not tucked in) and cool. It was very flexible in feel and movement swinging clubs. I feel I could (and will) wear this shirt on any warm day. I also wore the shirt with a t-shirt underneath as a dressier shirt and it still felt like a very comfortable and light shirt. Also, glad they had a "tall" version of the shirt.
Embarrassingly Comical Print Patterns, Eyesore Poc
I have great travel clothing from other brands but this was a disappointment. A reviewer my age said these are his "favorite shirts" and I shudder to imagine his closet. In person, the print patterns are wildly garish, accentuated by the sheen on the strange fabric which has a plastic feel. And while many of my travel shirts from other labels have a discreet front zipper pocket to secure a passport, this stands out like the giant embroidered "L" on a blouse in a "Laverne and Shirley" re-run. It looks like a walking add for breastfeeding. Seriously I can't imagine wearing these two shirts in public anywhere in the world. I'll stick to shopping REI for gear and look elsewhere for clothing.
