Arc'teryx Men's Atom Insulated Vest
I recived this product for testing and I was in the market for a new vest last month. I am replacing my OR vest which I had for over 5 years and now I have worn this vest for the last month. I love the smaller foot print and at first the rear of the vest had a longer cut then most vest and seemed ackward at the time. Now using it in snow, rain and wind, I am very pleased with overal warmth to weight ratio of the vest. I would recommend this to anyone that is looking for a vest other ready to upgrade. Easy to add layers and only thing I miss from my OR vest is the side chest pocket. Product seems durable and will definitely put it through the ringer.
Versatile and Comfortable
The Arc'teryx Atom Vest complements the Atom Jacket I already own, and the feel and quality are just as good as I expected. The vest is lightweight, warm, and breathable—ideal for layering during outdoor activities, or as a standalone for that in-between weather. That said, what really impressed me is how easily it transitions to a more professional setting. I've worn it in the office over a button-down shirt, and it pairs well with business casual attire without looking out of place. My only comment is about the collar. It's unstructured, which gives it a more relaxed look. However, it does flop around, or it sags on the back side. I personally prefer a collar that stands a bit more firmly—it would make the piece feel slightly more polished, especially in office settings. This didn't change my rating as this is more of a personal preference. Outside of the office setting, this is a great addition to the kit. Overall, it's an excellent piece if you're looking for technical performance with enough style versatility to go beyond the trail.

Very close to perfect
Love the fabric and it’s very light so great for relatively warm temperatures when you just want a little extra warmth or some additional pockets. I don’t love the fit of the Arc’teryx vests, though they fit nice and trim through the body I find the shoulders to be just a little bit too wide causing them to flare out slightly past my shoulders. I don’t see why it should be this wide in the shoulder and could accommodate more people. Overall I still really love it, pretty much exactly what I was looking for. The fabric on this is the same as the atom SL which I really prefer to the atom LT (really do not like it). I am 6’4” 195 lbs and bought size L
whoever redesigned this - obviously not wearing it
Bought the "updated" version and assumed the updates listed were a complete list of updates. As it turns out they left the fact that the breast pocket was removed out of the listed updates. I have been wearing a version of this vest for some time and not having a secure place to place a receipt or a ticket is a reason for my return. Yes i own a wallet and have optional pockets but not wanting to.- nor willing to pay the same for fewer features. Its a gimmick to have even reused the name as its no closer to the previous version than any other of your vests.

Slightly less than perfect but still great 🤞
The Atom Vest is a true essential for me, and this will be my fourth one. It’s never to hot, is breathable during activity, and is versatile for both trail and town. I was also pleased with the new Forage color, but do wish black sapphire would return. First impressions of fit and finish are good. The new fabric feels a little thinner, and even the insulation feels a little thin; almost like nothing there in some spots, but I still have confidence this revision will still perform well. My one biggest complaint is the loss of the interior chest pocket.
Very versatile piece of clothing
Quality item, well made out of quality materials the fit was a bit small for me but the the elastic sides haloed with figment. Overall I found the vest to be a versatile option in my closet- I've worn it for work over the top of a shirt since receiving it but this vest could easily be worn as a base layer or for running and cycling. I’d recommend but I’d go a size up.
Great for indoor use.
Spoiler; I’m a vest-dude. Bought mainly for use in the office over a button down. Level of insulation and warmth seems ideal for inside use so far. I also like the design which is simplistic and only the bird on left chest. The "ARC’TERYX" writing on the back of the collar could be more subtle. The fit is on the loose side, size medium (180cm/75kg). Use occasionally on shorter hikes in my nearby trails also. I love using a vest on a shorts and T-shirt combo during summer.
This will be your favorite vest
The Atom Vest is a perfect vest. Why? Because it's light enough to wear on those in-between weather days, and warm enough to keep you in good shape when the temperature really drops. It's sleek and snug and just does the job.
Nice but could be better
Nice vest, just such a pity about the zipper. Fits fine again, the only pain is the zipper that does not lock in place. Again, this is not only an issue on this garment, i have the Atom LT same story there
