I received these products for free from the REI Trailblazers sampling program in exchange for my honest review.- Pretty impressed with this little chair. The bag it comes in is actually big enough that it's pretty easy to get it back in, but still small enough to be stashed somewhere pretty easily. It's super easy and fast to setup, under 60 seconds my first time without reading any directions. Even faster to take down. Has a little pocket on the side. Sturdy. And on top of that, it's actually pretty comfortable. It has been great for after skiing, soccer games etc. And it's light enough I'd consider taking it backpacking. Just overall seems really well made and designed.
I'm always weary of chairs that require tension across the fabric to put the chair poles in since it always seems to be a struggle to get those poles right in the holes. This chair was pleasantly easy to put together. I didn't even need to look at instructions to figure it out (I'm a step-by-step instructions kind of person.) The poles kind of snap together if you wiggle it around a bit, so you don't really need to figure out what goes where. Putting the fabric in with the poles was really easy and smooth. I really appreciate the reinforced rubber backing where the poles go in, so the fabric won't rip. The seat was small, yet comfortable - even for my 210lb, 6'1 partner. It almost feels like a rocking chair. Legs are sturdy enough to sit in gravel or loose sand.
I received these products for free from the REI Trailblazers sampling program in exchange for my honest review. In the past when I have been camping, backpacking, or just sitting around a fire, I would usually find myself sitting on a rock, stump, or lugging around a heavy camp chair. When I received the Helinox Chair One (re), that all changed. This product is small, light-weight, and conveniently packaged in a durable carrying bag. When packaged, it is slightly larger than a standard Nalgene water bottle. If you are going to use something on the trail, it should be easy to set up. That being said, I pulled this chair out and set it up without directions in minutes. The base snaps together like tent poles, and the chair portion just gets placed on top. It is very intuitive. Lastly, and almost most importantly, the chair is comfortable to sit in. I have had the opportunity to test this chair several times since I received it. For people car-camping, or backpacking when weight isn't a huge issue, this chair is for you. This thing will probably live in my car so I always have a nice camp chair at a moment's notice.
We’ve tried many outdoor camping chair and this is by far the most portable, lightest, and comfortable chair we’ve tried. And it’s very durable. I sit in it all the time with my kids (or by themselves if they want!). Definitely one of our go to for outdoor adventures/camping. The only caveat I’d add about this chair is that there are no cup holders. Not a deal breaker but sometimes when you have a drink, you’d have to just hold it. But you’re low enough to the ground to just put it down without bending too much haha.
This little chair has become quickly become my favorite and go to camping/beach days/ backyard reading chair. It’s extremely light and compact. It takes all of 30 seconds to assemble and breaks down just as quick! The carrying case that came with the chair had two sturdy handles on the top and bottom which I have been using to clip to my backpack. I have seen some reviews say the fabric is hard to pull over the post, but I did not find that to be an issue at all with my chair. The chair always feels sturdy and is the perfect height off the ground. I don’t feel strained ever getting out of it.
The chair is easy to assemble and connect the fabric into the poles. Its extremely spacious and just feels comfortable and stable when you sit, no need to adjust your weight around to be in control. The fabric area which hooks to the poles have a strong plastic backing which gives me confidence on its durability to withstand many years for use in the backcountry. Easy to pack and store in the zip case and surprised how portable it is. Overall, love this chair and will be my go to for all camping/ backpacking excursions.
This is the best camp chair I've ever bought, and it's not even close. I own a few cheaper chairs with a similar design, but Helinox delivers superior materials and ergonomics. It's lightweight enough to take anywhere you go, setup takes less than a minute, and it's very compact when broken down. I'm 6'2" and 180 lbs, but this thing feels surprisingly sturdy, considering its size. Sitting down in this chair feels like lying in a hammock. It hugs and supports me in all the right places. I have a feeling it will last for many years to come. Highly Recommended!
This is a great lightweight travel chair. Easily fits in my biking backpack. Perfect for a rest mid-ride. Thought it looked unstable but had no issues. Easy to set up and pack away. The electric blue color is pretty cool, too.
I needed a compact lightweight chair for my overlanding set up. It needed to be sturdy and comfortable but also fit in my small camper space when wind, rain, and cold drive me inside. This chair is working great. Solid construction and comfortable. The plastic pockets for the pole insertion is a big improvement on chairs I've had in the past. They won't wear through. This chair is going to travel a lot of miles with me. I'll probably grab another for the wife.
Lots of chairs on display at REI now, ready for spring/summer. Helinox Chair One is the clear winner of the 9 chairs I tried. Helinox Chair One doesn't shake or shift as you sit or rise. The sides cradle you slightly as you sit so you don't roll out or tip. The pocket along the side is handy. So lightweight and packable, it's easy to slip into a daypack. We set it up inside to watch TV and outside on the deck. A major windstorm blew through this afternoon with branches and leaves flying and water everywhere. The Helinox Chair One out on the deck didn't move an inch. It's a keeper.
