The best not carbon plated trainers

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently purchased the ADIZERO EVO SL trainers, and I have to say - they’ve completely elevated my running experience. From the first run, I noticed how lightweight and responsive they are. The energy return is impressive, making every stride feel smooth and efficient. The cushioning strikes a great balance - plush enough to absorb impact, yet firm enough to maintain a snappy feel. The breathable upper keeps my feet cool even during long runs, and the fit is secure without being too tight. I’m truly enjoying my runs more with these trainers. Whether it’s a quick 5K or a longer weekend session, they consistently deliver comfort, support, and performance. Highly recommended for anyone serious about running!

The future of running

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m pretty astonished by how good these are. I’ve only had one run and went about 85% on a hilly 5k and was within 90secs of my PR which was achieved on a flat closed course in plated shoes, I think on same conditions these would be faster. I’ll mainly be using these as Hyrox workout trainers for sessions that have a bit of running with station work and I’m excited to see how they go, I appreciate them not having a carbon plate but still being racey and light as plates often flare my Achilles up if I use them too much in training. I sized up by 0.5 and they’re perfect. I have a quick video review on my TikTok @daniclaff if you prefer to see initial thoughts there

Well cushioned and lightweight daily trainer.

I purchased these to replace my NB Rebel trainers for easy runs, having found the previous SLs unsuitable for my hot climate and the uppers to be a little too busy. The Evo SLs have proven to be well cushioned and lightweight, with enough stability for paved or flat surfaces and long runs. The fit is consistent with other Adizero runners. I had some unexpected rubbing on one of my toes (which might be a result of more roominess rather than less), and I find the tongue to be fiddley when putting them on (but trouble free once laced). I am concerned about the outsole durability (looking a little sad after 100km) although I expect the foam will run out of life before I can destroy the Continental tread. Cooling is good (they're not hot shoes), more would be great, even if restricted to this region.

Fantastic Speed Shoe - Great Value.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fantastic lightweight training shoe, can be used as a daily trainer but I prefer something more cushioned. Fits perfectly into my rotation - I use this shoe for any speed work, and used it for 1 long run to try out, held up great, especially in the faster blocks. Everything online suggests you size up 1/2 a size, I am usually between UK9-9.5, went for the 9.5 and fits great, but think a 9 would be too small. Finally- for the price of this shoe, definitely recommend. If you are a beginner runner only buying 1 shoe, I don't think this is for you. If you have a rotation, or a bit more experience, there is no better shoe in the market right now.

Too good to be true? Well it is true!

I absolutely love these and until production ends on this line I will always buy from it. The Evo SL‘s feel great for daily use and when I want to go for a nice run in Texas Heat. The only downside which is just a nitpick to me is the tongue. The material feels a little flimsy and won’t stop folding. But it doesn’t matter cause it’s just something small out of a jam packed shoe! I compared it to a pair of hoka carbon X3’s and honestly the adidas just feel even better! I love the looks, feel, and everything about it just hits! Photo was taken before I bought the pair.

Comfort Meets Performance, But Not Without Flaws

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Adidas Adizero Evo SL delivers exceptional comfort, making every run feel like you're gliding on clouds. The cushioning is fantastic, providing a smooth and responsive ride, especially on long-distance runs. I’ve found them to be a great companion for extended workouts, ensuring a soft yet supportive feel throughout. However, despite their comfort, there are some drawbacks. The durability is questionable; noticeable signs of wear appear after just a few miles, which is concerning. The tongue constantly shifts and folds, resulting in discomfort and requiring frequent adjustments. Another issue is the shoelaces, which struggle to maintain proper tension. After 8–10 miles, I often have to stop and re-tighten them, disrupting the flow of my run. Best Feature: Comfort—unparalleled cushioning that makes every step feel effortless. Worst Feature: The tongue—its tendency to move and fold is frustrating. Overall, I like these shoes to the point that I own two pairs and plan to run the Sydney Marathon 2025 with them! While they’re a joy to run in, I do wish Adidas would improve their durability and tongue/lace security for an even better experience.

A really nice road running shoe

Light, bouncy and fast! I will definitely buy another pair when these wear out.the only issues I have with the shoe are first the tongue moves around a little and it’s slightly hardto get the shoe locked down in the heal ( very minor issue). It might help if they use a gusseted tongue . Also, I’m not a fan of the laces. they feel cheap/ flimsy but they do get the job done. Lastly Please add some additional color ways. I’m not a fan of black or white running shoes. One gets dirty to quickly and the other is too hot.also the green is a little much Nice job addidas! My complaints are minor , and I I really like running in those shoes!
