These were reduced price, as new version was evidently coming..good thing, coz I never woulda' paid $80 for shorts..after perusing tons of rave reviews, tho, I did order a pair. These shorts are delightful, delicious & Bentley-class! Never in my 75 years, ever been so rapt w/shorts: strong fabric, comfortable, amazing taiioring, free motion, no binding. Absolutely None of my thoughts today, (as I unloaded cement paving stones & gardened), were about ill-fiiting or flimsy shorts. Sublime. Now, I would pay Royal Robbins' full-price and never bat an eye. Classic clothes cost, & remain well-worth it. So impressed.
DISCOVERY III BERMUDA
Fabulous shorts. Stylish, comfortable, easy-care, lightweight, with sun protection. I bought these for sailing, and now realize they are perfect for wearing in an urban area. (for those who no longer feel like wearing the latest version of "hot pants"-- 1960s label for very short shorts). I absolutley love the fabric. I bought the navy and I will buy more colors. Thanks Royal Robbins for making clothes that are modern, tailored, and practical for travel and every day wear.
Discovery Bermudas
I love these bermudas so much and now with a recent purchase I have all three colors. I am 5‰Ûª5‰Û�, weigh 142 pounds, and particularly like the length that comes above my knee. The fabric is high quality, washes and dries quickly, packs easily, and the 2 zippered pockets are handy. I also like the snaps at waist so no buttons will be popping off. I can not say enough about how well made they are and and how well they fit.
Discovery III Bermuda Short
Great short, well made, wicking material. I have been a proponent of the Discovery Short for a number of years. I have seen the style change ever so little every 4 to 5 years. Royal Robbins clothing always fit me “smaller than actual size”. This has changed on the most current version of the short. It is now fitting “true to size”. Love these shorts!
Love These
It's so hard to find shorts this length. They hit right above the knee, which I think is really flattering. This is at least the third pair I've ordered. SO comfortable The rise is high enough that I don't have to think carefully before bending over. Royal Robbins, don't you DARE ever discontinue these!
Longest lasting bermuda!
I recently bought two new pair of RR Bermudas to replace the two pair I bought and have worn for over ten years! And the older shorts are still wearable, but it was time for updating. The tailoring is sharper on the new shorts and I look forward to many years of stylish, durable wear.

My third or fourth year for these! I still have the first pair, but there is less of me. These do foster movement and breathability. The fabric does not seem dirty even gardening. And the fit is superb even with four pockets. I will be eighty in June. Good work Royal.
The Discovery Bermuda is one
The Discovery Bermuda is one of the best shorts I‰Ûªve ever worn. The fit is perfect, riding just below the waist which is my preferred fit. And the length of this Bermuda makes it appropriate for wear around town. I‰Ûªll order another pair!
Bermuda shorts
I've got a problem with this purchase. The sizing is wrong. I purchased these shorts 5 years ago and was a size 10. So I purchased a size 10 again. They were too small. So I returned them. I purchased a size 12. Now the 12s are too big.
