Altra’s unique FootShape™ toe box and zero to low shoes are built to place your foot in a natural position, with a stable and confident foundation to run on. When fitting, be sure to allow a full thumb’s width in front of your toes. If your feet are used to cramped toe boxes, Altra shoes may feel a little big at first. Give your toes some time to get used to the newfound wiggle room.
Altra offers a range of FootShape fits:
Original Fit: The fit that started it all, Original is the roomiest of the 3 options from Altra.
Standard Fit: The most common fit from Altra is right in the middle of Original and Slim.
Slim Fit: The slimmest-fitting Altra option still allows room for your toes to spread out naturally.

I have worn a pair of these for about a year now and the material has held up a lot better than other shoes I’ve worn out. I typically wear a size 8.5, but I’ve learned to look for the EU size 40 since it’s more accurate for my foot size; however, the US 8.5 for this shoe is the EU 40, so they’re a perfect fit. I have flat feet and a wide toe box, so these shoes are great for toe comfort, and I absolutely love the bright colors! The 0 mm heel-to-toe drop is essential for my foot, knee, and back comfort, especially when adding arch inserts. My back pain isn’t as noticeable as when I wear other shoes. Please don’t ever get rid of the wide toe box!

I have been a long term fan of Altras. And now I'm wondering what is up with their choices at this company. First the messed up tongues that cut people's skin, and now shoes that cannot be worn outside. I bought these shoes last month, and after multiple attempts to scrub with soap, detergent, and then putting them in the washing machine in a last ditch effort, these shoes are still incredibly dirty. After contacting customer support, they basically said that there's not anything they can do. The customer service rep suggested I wipe the shoes down after each use. Do people do that? Seriously? So, these shoes should not be used for any outdoor use, maybe you could go to church or the gym in them, but nothing that includes the possibility of getting dirt or mud on them. Luckily, I bought them at Nashville Running store and the owner has been very accommodating with me, but it's not a good look for Altra. Get it together!!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I can say that the updated version of this trail shoe seems to be a great option for those who love to explore the outdoors. The new seamless and stitch-less upper is a great addition, making the shoe both lightweight and durable, which is essential for trail running. The design is super cute and I love anything purple! The outsole seems to provide the necessary grip and traction on any terrain, which is crucial for a trail runner. Overall, this shoe provides a comfortable running experience. The design is an interesting aspect of the shoe, as it is wider and allows the feet to move naturally through nature, providing a more natural running experience. This feature makes me feel connected to the terrain beneath me. Overall, the product seems to offer an exciting upgrade to an already popular trail shoe. The combination of lightweight materials, responsive cushioning, and excellent traction makes this shoe an excellent choice for anyone looking for a durable and comfortable trail running shoe and I highly recommend them!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The perfect tennis shoes for those of us who love physical activity, running, walking, climbing whatever, these tennis shoes can withstand everything, they are all-terrain and help you maintain a good balance. Compared to other sports shoes these keep my feet dry free from extreme sweat and keep the foot cool. My nails are no longer a disaster as these shoes simulate the shape of the foot and protect me from strong impacts when running. Normally I have problems with stones that always get into the shoe but I don't have that problem anymore with these shoes Yay! Light, comfortable, soft and cushioned to keep the foot comfortable and secure. They're feels true size and true to width. They feel just perfect!!
Went from Hokas to these because I needed a wider toe box for my bunions. I haven't put a lot of trail miles on these but they seem comfortable. They have cushion but not so much I can't feel the trail. They feel about half a size larger than my other pair of Altras, but I kept them and wear a thicker sock. It was hard to pick a color because I didn't like any of them. I prefer a darker shoe with no white for my trail shoes. Oddly, I went with the beige color because they match the color of dirt around here. Not worried about mud because I have other shoes for wet conditions. Time will tell how long it takes before they look trashed.
I absolutely loved these and found very comfortable. Sadly, I will not be purchasing again. After five months with limited use, the toe area formed a hole on one of the sneakers. These were not used for running. It was merely walking. As I've read other reviews, this appears to be a common problem with this particular shoe. Given the cost of the shoe, it is not worth the money to have to replace them in a short period of time .

I have had the 3.0, 3.5, and 4.5 and 5.0. I The material they have used since abandoning the mesh at the toe of the 3.5 is very easily punctured. I have gone through three pairs that each got hole in the material from continuous great toe contact that formed well before the tread is worn. Really wish they would fix it because otherwise love the shoe and fit. Make the toe box puncture proof like the 3.5 version!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the lightweight material, to me this shoes were extremely comfortable during a jog and trail walk. At first I thought the width was a little too wide for me but the more I kept going I realized how comfortable that made the experience. And how it was meant to be that way to allow a bit of toe spacing. The color I was sent was also so nice.
I immediately sent these back because they pinched my little toe. I have had 3 pairs of the Lone Peak 6 in wide and I love them. I was hoping these would fit just as well, but they're visibly more narrow. Very disappointed! Please make the next version wider like the LP6. I wish I had stocked up before the LP6 was discontinued.
