Dry, Toasty Warm, but Bulky

These gloves are incredibly warm and comfortable. Initially I bought these to be versatile Gloves for skiing but when they arrived I quickly realized they were too bulky for a daily ski glove. However, on days when temperatures were in the single digits or below they were fantastic. Only issue is how bulky they are. I did not have much dexterity with these on. This might change as the gloves get broken in. I do love that they are waterproof and have a removable shell. I could pair the shell with thinner gloves to keep my hands dry on rainy ascents. I like having this glove in my gear closet. It’s versatile.

super gloves don't fall

I love these gloves. In a freak accident, I recently broke and dislocated my shoulder descending Mt. Rainier. I may not heal in time for ice climbing this winter. But these gloves are perfect for wearing while watching Netflix and waiting for Accidents in North American Mountaineering to come out. I don’t know how they will preform placing an ice screw, but their great at manipulating the TV remote and using to take pain pills. I highly recommend them, not falling. Thanks Black Diamond for protecting me in my adventurous, mountain years.

Outstanding Value from BD!

I have had a few Black Diamond in the past and always very impressed with their quality and craftsmanship. The Ski Glove world with quality competitors and I tried on some buddies' gear and like a few other brands in the realm of price and weather protections before I made the BD purchase. The quality and warmth just seem to be on another level. Once I proudly peacocked my new gloves around my friends now can't wait to wear out their existing gloves to order some BD gloves!

So happy so far

Haven’t had a chance to wear them on the mountain yet, but they are extremely thick which hopefully translates to warmth. My hands tend to be very cold, in fact my whole body probably runs colder than most, so I usually dress 10 degrees warmer than everyone else. Bought them for use with an ice axe. Dexterity was a decent for how thick the fingers are. Not planning on losing one of those! Very well made piece of clothing. Can’t wait to try them out.

Finally

I love spending long days in the mountains all winter long doing a variety of activities. I sweat like a beast and struggle to find good options that I can layer to better manage moisture. The down liners on these are removable and the quality next level. They give me the flexibility I need to bounce between long uphill grinds and fast cold, new england descents. Especially with the overmitts and a set of thinner wool liners.

Best Gloves Ever!

By far out of all the gloves I have purchased in the past, these gloves are the best out of those many pairs. This being my first time with a glove that has a removable liner and a waterproof shell. It far exceeds my expectations they are incredibly warm and thick but not in a way that hinders finger movement. I would highly recommend these gloves to anyone looking for a durable yet incredibly warm glove.

Excellent gloves

I recently used these gloves on two different 11-12 hour hikes in chilly conditions. Temps were minus 12 F with wind chill at minus 20 to minus 30 F. These kept my hands warm from start to finish. Even with a good amount of hand sweat they still performed well and the gloves didn’t feel damp on the inside. I highly recommend these gloves.

Best Gloves So Far!!

These are the best gloves I have used to date! Built very very well. My hands get cold very easily, I wore these snowmobiling in -35c weather and my hands were never cold. I wear size large gloves but went with medium as BD gloves seem to run a bit big. My only complaint is they are a bit too chunky but that is the cost for warmth.

Tough and weatherproof

Bought these gloves for sealing out the weather on heavy storm/powder days at the resort and in the backcountry. The removable liners really expand the gloves' use range and they have been very durable so far. I ski a lot of trees and have ruined my fair share of gloves but these are holding up nicely so far.

Fantastic gloves.

I am loving these gloves. I bought 2 pair since I like to ice climb with the tan pair and belay with the black pair. I stuff the climbing gloves inside my coat while I belay to keep them nice and toasty. These gloves are small enough that I can still grip my tools comfortably yet super warm. Love them.
