Truly, more comfortable than my bedroom slippers from the first moment. The wider toebox leaves room for fuzzy socks or tired, slightly swollen feet. They provide excellent support. I have worn mine hundreds of miles in conditions ranging from Baltic winter to Tacoma's hilly sidewalks in late spring. These are my best outdoor shoes ever. My only complaint, and it is tiny. I loved the happy turquoise laces, but I would have liked a spare pair of grey laces, as well, for situations/locations that were a bit more reserved.

Solid comfy stable shoe, but definitely size down

Great multi-purpose well-constructed secure grippy shoe for use both on & off the trail & urban walks, but sizing is way way off. Typically I am an 8 1/2-9 & had to size down to 7 1/2. Even then, there is a bit of heel slippage (I have narrow heels), which I remedied by using the lacing pattern that better secures the heel. Toebox is somewhat wide, but not Altra wide. Comfy from day one. Secure & stable with a low enough stack height/drop so that I don’t worry about twisting an ankle or slipping. Not a squishy overly padded shoe, but still comfy. Getting the right size is paramount. Deducted one star because of extreme sizing issue & because I prefer the looks of an earlier similar model by Asolo. Minor quibble: although the laces are fine, if you want to swap out for a different color, finding replacement laces with tips/ends that are narrow enough to insert through the shoe’s small holes is doable, but the tips of most standard trail shoe laces are too wide & Asolo typically only has one lace color in stock.

This is my second pair and I love it!! Adjusts very well on my wide feet because you control the laces in any area you need. I wear 8.5 and I have to change to 8, runs a bit big. They are stylish and comfortable! I recommend
