Love the design but too big for this smaller woman

This pack is really well designed. I love the simplicity of the interior compartments and the size of the outer pocket, where you could stash a smaller bag with wallet etc., and/or your toiletries for ease of access for airport security. Also, the interior space is great--I took a four-day trip and had empty space. However, for me (5'3", 125 lb woman), it was too big, and I couldn't get it comfortable on my body (too long and no load-lifters on the straps--compare the Osprey Sojourn Porter travel packs--I ended up happy with the Sojourn 30). Even with the shoulder straps pulled tight, it dragged backwards/downwards and strained my neck. The pack kind of overwhelmed me. I think it would work well for taller people.

Bag trashed after a couple of uses
Buyer Beware

Received free product
After thoroughly researching and reading glowing reviews, I was excited to purchase the Allpa 35L. The main reason I chose this bag was it was supposed to be water resistant. What I didn’t expect was for the bag to end up scratched and scuffed after just a couple of uses. None of my other bags have ever worn down this quickly. It's a massive letdown. When I contacted Cotopaxi, they brushed it off, claiming it was "normal" and purely cosmetic—not a defect. For a bag that costs over $200, it shouldn't look like it's been through years of use after just a few uses. Their solution? Offering sending tape to cover up the spots where the TPU had scratched off. Seriously? For the price, the bag should hold up far better than this. I'll keep using it so people can see just how poor the quality and craftsmanship really are. I expected so much more from a premium bag, but after only three uses, it looks completely trashed. Save your money. Go for Patagonia or any other brand that actually delivers quality.

Amazing travel bag

I purchased this 35L pack and have used it to travel cross country to Boston a couple times. We just returned from a 3 week trip to Croatia and Italy and I have to say I absolutely LOVE this bag. Comfortable and packs so much stuff. Small warning, it’s definitely a carry on and 8 out of 10 flights you won’t be hassled. But twice the gate agent made me check it and both times they lost my bag. I saw many people with the same pack (even the latter 42L) on the same flights! I’m sure it was just the gate agent thought it was too big. It’s not, it will fit. 10/10.

Issue with zipper

Allpa35--I totally love this backpack and hoping that the issue can be rectified (thinking an issue with the 35 and maybe I should size up to the 42) I wanted to give 5 stars but lost a star for the zipper issue See my previous ticket and a follow-up after receiving the replacement. Hoping to get a response soon Subject: Allpa 35 zipper issues Message: I received an Allpa 35 backpack in June 2024, as a gift from a friend. I travelled to Europe for 8 weeks (using the back) and just returned. It was quite a challenge opening and closing the backpack (even when half empty). Assuming there must be an issue with how this was made. I love the backpack and hoping that you can replace this (no charge) as it is definitely not properly functional and takes at least 2 people to hold together to zip open and close. I received the replacement Allpa 35 today-thank you. This one appears to have the same issue but at a different point of the zipper (more towards the middle)- is this an overall issue with the 35's? Should I get a 42 instead? Do advise

Perfect travel backpack system.

This backpack was ideal for our trip across China. We did a 10 day four locations trip. Being a large man I was concerned it would fit my clothes and all the things needed for travel. But I was pleasantly surprised. We used suited nomad compression sacks and everything fit wonderfully. I’m 6’3” wear XL shirts L pants. I was able to pack 6 pants, 7 tops, 7 pairs of socks, sandals and hiking shoes, the 18L bag, full toiletries, outlet converter, sleeping mat, and camp towel. We felt these packs were ideal for carry-on bags and they were plenary comfy to wear while we walked to our hotel/hostels and to and from public transit. We used carabiners to attach our batac packs to our larger packs but we found that it would be better to have just the one pack when traveling. Overall these were comfy when fully loaded. Held everything we needed. And looked good while we did it. The bags held up great through two international flights with layovers, two regional flights, one overnight train, and many taxi/bus/train rides. I Highly recommend this pack for the traveler who doesn’t want to deal with baggage claim or lost luggage, and who wants to move quickly through airports and public transit.

Best traveling bag for Spirit airlines

I bought this bag because I was taking a trip through Spirit airlines. If you know, Spirit airlines only allows a personal bag on for free. I saw the measurements online for this bag and it was perfect. I was able to pack a weeks worth of clothes, shoes, and other beauty products and essentials. This bag fits so much and it keeps everything organized with its built in dividers. I am so glad I decided to spend the money and get this bag because it is true my worth every penny. Hands down the best travel bag for when you don’t want to pay for a carryon.

Allpa 35L Travel Pack

Absolutely love the color combo! It's everything I could hope for in a travel backpack since I'm a heavy packer and it's basically a suitcase. Love all the adjustable straps and padding as well, completely customizable for everyone!

All the colors!

Got this travel pack as a surprise for my girlfriend, who is a classic over-packer, and she is thrilled. The Allpa is amazingly strong feeling, which simultaneously being very light. So much space! And it comes with many well thought out features, like the rain cover and the handles. Perfect pack. The big winner of the set, however, was the Batac Del Dia daypack -- the features on this bag are wonderful, and she packs it full of everything she can possibly fit inside, and it still performs amazingly well. It's by far her favorite day pack. Even packed full, it feels strong and light. And it has all the colors... I can't recommend this enough.

35L pack

After much debate and denial, I finally replaced a bag I had had for 15 years with the Cotopaxi 35L. After 4 days in Europe, I’m already LOVING my choice! It’s decivibg/ it holds way more than I expected. And the front pocket is big enough for all my goodies I could need accessible on a flight. The bag fits under my seat. The only downside is no water bottle holder on the outside. Wish that was built in.

No checked bags!!

We purchased 2 Allpa 35L and 2 Allpa 27L for our family of 4 for less than the price of checked bags for our next two trips. Our 6 and 8 yr olds carried their own packs and we checked no luggage for our 9 day trip! So happy with the function while on the move and the organization compartments when living out of it. Great products for a family on the go!
