Solid Athletic Shorts
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have 2 other pair of shorts with a similar material and these are a style more consistent with my favorite pair. The diameter of the leg holes is wider than several other shorts I have tried on which allows for a greater flexibility, like squatting, without the fabric restricting my thighs. Unfortunately, like many other men's athletic shorts, the pockets are huge. My Samsung Galaxy quickly falls sideways in the pocket which makes the shorts fit awkwardly. If the pockets were deep but more narrow, it would help keep some standard sized phones upright in the pocket for maximum leg mobility. Overall, the shorts are lightweight and comfortable.
Almost perfect!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received these Nike DF Challenger Shorts for my husband and so far he is loving them. He lives in shorts so he can be picky when it comes to trying something new, but he was pleasantly surprised. They were comfortable for all day wear and he even wore them to sleep a couple times. The fabric is soft and lightweight like you would expect with a dri fit short. He said his favorite part was how deep the pockets were. Usually pockets of running shorts are not big enough to fit his phone and he was so happy this fit his phone with no issues. The only thing he said he would change is the length. He said he’d be happier if they were 1-2” longer.
Lightweight with comfortable waistband
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Nike DF Challenger running shorts are comfortable and look good. They have a very nice waistband and deep storage pockets. The feel of the shorts are great and would be comfortable to wear in any setting, whether that be running, relaxing, or doing yardwork. The design and fabric are great and they aren't too short. The waistband is a little snug for anyone with a little extra around the middle. My only other concern are the pockets – they are all mesh so if you put anything in there that is sharper or has pointed corners, I'm afraid they might rip the pockets. The stitching isn't great either. It is also advised that you take them from the washer and lay them flat as soon as possible. Overall, a decent running short.
Great Shorts - Comfortable, Lightweight, & Versatile
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These shorts surprised me on many fronts. The fit is exactly what you would expect from Nike and sizing was normal based on my usual size. The length of the shorts is approximately 7", which was perfect for me based on my height and intended use of the shorts. Overall they are extremely lightweight and can be used for multiple purposes including running, lounging, cycling, lifting, etc. I would feel comfortable wearing these in most settings. An additional benefit on the shorts is the added velcro back pocket. I can see this being useful for runs to keep your keys and other small belongings secured. I did a ride on my Peloton and they were perfect for that setting. Overall I can highly recommend these shorts and will likely keep an eye out to add more to my closet.
Dry fit on the small size
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the Nike DF Challenger Short in black recently. The color leans more dark grey in my opinion. The quality for the price is in line. These shorts have 3 pockets, 2 mesh side pockets and a hidden Velcro pocket at the back. They’re a great lightweight material! Unfortunately, I did not get to actually try on the shorts as the medium I got was too small, I would exchange these for a large thought. The material has no stretch whatsoever, so I’d size up from your normal size.
Quick dry shorts
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I definitely needed to size up on these for a more comfortable fit. I am usually between small and medium and got a small. They are tight in the groin area as I have larger thighs and the waist is stretched pretty far. However, I really appreciate that these are running-type shorts without the mesh liner inside. I usually cut that out and wear a separate pair of compression shorts so it's nice to have these without them. The length is also great as I'm not super tall and don't like my work out shorts to hang all the way to my knees but I also don't need booty shorts - these are right in the middle. The material is great for work outs as it is light and feels like a quick dry material. So for those three reasons, I'm giving them 5 stars. My fault on the sizing issue, they are still comfy even though they are tight. (And they have pockets!)
Daily Shorts
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a dad who has to move a lot these shorts were versatile. I could wear them around the house just as easy as jogging. They felt a bit snug when pulling them around my waist however they fit well once on. They didn’t bunch up and the fabric was sleek. The deep side pockets were nice but even better was hidden pocket in back. If you have larger waist like me or are not used to high inseam these may need to be sized up.
Great Running Shorts
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are a great pair of running shorts! I felt like the sizing was off (as it is with most of this brand’s plus sizes) but I did love they way they felt while on. Very comfortable. I’m usually a size 1x and the 2x fit just right. Didn’t like the back pocket- weird location. But overall, a great pair of shorts! I loved how light and airy they are.
Light and comfy
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband was really impressed with these shorts. Being taller, it’s hard to find shorts that are long enough but not too long to interfere with exercise. These shorts were the perfect length, lightweight and breathable, and a really sleek, simple design that makes them easily wearable for exercise or leisure. Highly recommend these shorts!
Loved initially...
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Initial reaction was completely positive. Loved the lightweight feel. They are not restrictive. Almost feels like not wearing anything at all! They are very comfortable and do not make excessive noise when moving around. Noticed the drawstring appears cheap and as if it will not last. However, the drawstring doesn't seem necessary for fit. (5'9" 170 lbs) Usually wear a medium/sometimes large and the large fits well. The length was perfect. Not a fan of the pocket on the back. I understand having a small pocket tucked away for a key, but this pocket just didn't seem functional. The velcro didn't seem secure. The placement of the pocket was not ideal. The side pockets seem deep enough to tuck a key down in, but I would feel more comfortable with a zipper closure somewhere. My biggest issue with these shorts was the price. They seemed overpriced, but in my opinion, most running shorts are. Overall happy with the shorts and would enjoy owning more. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)
