Sizing Notes
Measurements are stated in inches unless otherwise indicated. Size chart values represent body measurements, not garment measurements. Some women's pants are available in petite and tall sizes. Typically petite sizes fit women 4'11" to 5'3". Regular sizes fit women 5'4" to 5'8". Tall sizes fit women 5'9" to 5'11".
PETITE: Generally, as compared to regular sizes, petite sizes are 2.5 inches shorter in inseam, 1 inch shorter in body length, 1.25 inches shorter in sleeve length and ¾ inch shorter in total rise.
TALL: tall sizes are 3 inches longer in inseam, 2 inches longer in body length, 2.5 inches longer in sleeve length and 1.25 inches longer in total rise.
Capri or cropped pants have an intentionally shorter inseam—reference the technical specs instead of this chart.
Inseam is measured to the floor.

Warm and Lightweight Jacket
This is a great all-around ski/snowboard jacket. I have worn it in the cold and in the rain. I have not had the opportunity to wear it in the snow yet. It has kept me warm and dry on very cold, rainy mornings. It does not feel bulky so it will be very comfortable and not restrict movement when on the slopes. A few features that I really like about this jacket: - The high collar is lined with a soft fabric so it won't feel as abrasive on my face as some of my other jackets do when I tuck in my chin for added warmth - The extra wide cuffs will be much easier to grab and seal over my mittens - Hood should fit perfectly over my helmet but also tightens down nicely when I'm not wearing my helmet - Long enough to cover my bum and keep it dry in the rain - Pit zips to help cool down on warmer days - Pockets! Lift pass pocket, Media pocket, goggle pocket, key clip in pocket Overall, I really like this jacket and think it will likely be my "go to" jacket this coming ski season.
Ready for xc or downhill skiing
This jacket has it all: an elastic band to keep snow out, tons of pockets, and underarm vents in case you work up a sweat. The elastic band has an easy snap closure at the bottom to help keep snow out and secure the bottom of the jacket for extra warmth. There are so many pockets: a zipper pocket on the sleeve (great for lip balm, a credit card, and a key), zipper pockets on each side with pulls that are long enough to handle with mittens/gloves, and interior mesh pockets for things like tissues, and an interior zipper pocket which would be great for a phone. The side underarm vents will be great for when you work up a sweat cross country skiing. The hood has a bungee cord so you can tighten it / adjust it as you need. I recommend wearing a base layer like Merino wool if you are going out in extremely cold/windy conditions. Pictured wearing a Women's Medium, approx. 135 lbs, 5'5" for reference.
Even my dog says yes.
The day after my jacket arrived, I flew out to Maine to spend a couple weeks enjoying New England's fall magic. Packing super light and for various outdoor activities, I bravely grabbed my new jacket to try out--it could make or break my travel layering system. I put it to the test on an overnight backpacking on the AT, day hiking in Acadia National Park and leaf peeping/wine-drinking near Sugarloaf. The weather was average, mostly in the 60s during the day and dropping to freezing some nights. My new jacket & I experienced rainy, wet conditions, also. I have the rose mauve color. It's actually fairly true to the color online, but it's a bit richer in person--much like a softer shade of coral. It's smashing next to bright turquoise blue, especially when viewed next to a wine glass! :) Before testing it out, I was a little skeptical of what REI refers to as "Peak 2-layer nylon shell." I need a jacket that can perform in a variety of conditions & can keep me dry (within reason) when it's raining, but doesn't make me sweat like I'm wearing an oversized Ziploc bag while I hike or skin. <-- This is extra important to me, because I'm that happy woman you see hiking up Helens in a tank top & Alti Mitts. Hey, I'm a sweater. I don't mean knit. The human kind. You know, like I perspire a ton during hiking & unless I'm moving really slow, I just don my dry layers when I stop (but Raynaud's, thus the Alti Mitts.) Circling around, I was able to hike a moderate speed in my jacket with the pit zips open without sweating out. This thing really *does* breathe. Also the fabric kept me dry while it rained. Aced those tests! This has already turned in to a novella. Yikes! But I want to cover one more aspect that some of you may be wanting more info about--the sizing. I'll try to attach fun photos for reference. I'm 5'4" & depending on the day, I'm 105-112 lbs with an average build. You can see howthe size small fits me, for reference. Measured, it's approx 38.5" chest & 28" shoulder to hem. I'm wearing a 250 weight wool baselayer top underneath in the photos. Rating: Two Alti Mitts Up :)
Comfortable, warm, and functional jacket!
I haven’t gotten the chance to test this jacket in snow yet, but it’s amazingly warm and comfortable for outdoor activities (e.g. walking, hiking) in semi-cold weather too! As noted in the description, it’s got a ton of pockets, zippers, and other features that are super useful for storing various things (like your phone, lift pass, ski goggles, gloves, anything else you might want to stash temporarily), adjusting to your size and activity, and ventilation. It really feels like the designers have thought of every need you might have on and off the mountain, and have done everything possible to keep you warm and dry. The material is well-made too, and I imagine (and expect) it’ll last many years. I also love that it’s fairly lightweight; it allows for base layers underneath as needed, while the outer shell protects you from the elements. For the look and fit: I got the “Rose Mauve” color, which I love because it’s colorful but not too bright. I’m typically a size S and I found the S to have slightly longer sleeves and a longer length than I’m used to, but it’s comparable in how other ski and winter jackets fit, and I think it helps with the warmth and keeping snow powder out. Overall, it’s a well-built jacket that is perfect for any type of outdoor winter activity!
Warm jacket with all the bells and whistles
Very lightweight jacket with many pockets. It was a tad too big, but will be excellent for layering when the weather is colder. I love the rose color and several people hiking complimented the jacket. I loved the pit zips because it was in the 50's when we finished our hike. My absolute favorite part of the jacket is the wide hook and loop cuff adjustments, which easily fit over my wrist brace. I will definitely wear this jacket this winter on Mt. Tahoma. Thanks!
Well thought-out jacket
This jacket is designed very thoughtfully. I'm petite (5'0") and it's not uncommon for sleeves to be too long on me. The velcro at the end of the sleeves lets me shorten the jacket for my shorter arms while sticking to the classic shell design. I love that this fits like a classic shell jacket yet is lightly insulated. It gives me room to add further insulation if needed but be very comfortable for most winter activity without it. I'm waiting for the snow season to start so I cant test it out on powder, but the snow skirt and lower hem in the back is exactly what I look for in a powder jacket. Aesthetically, I like that the velcro cuffs on the sleeves and the flap along the front are particularly thick, and I looove the salmon color of my jacket. Last, they remembered the whistles and bells that I care about - pit zips, and a good loop because I don't like hanging jackets from the hood. If I had one complaint, I would love the sleeves to be a little shorter for my petite arms, but again, it was entirely adjustable with the velcro sleeves. One thing I always look for in active jackets is deep pockets. There are four pockets and they are all great. The exterior pockets are deep enough for a cell phone and zip shut. There is a vertical zipper interior pocket and an open, square interior pocket. The square interior pocket is big enough for a phone ... or goggles, or in the case of the square interior pocket, I can shove an insulating layer into that pocket (see photo) or a small water bottle. The hood is nice and deep with snaps and drawstrings to make it adjustable. I love this both to fit over a helmet but also that it means it wears well without a helmet.
Great Jacket
I’m 5’2” and 115 lbs, typically S or XS. I’d planned on purchasing a small for room to move but was sold out. I opted to try the XS and glad I did! Fit is great and plenty of room for layering. That said, I don’t think I’ll need more than a good merino base layer. I purchased this because wanted a more substantial (waterproof) rain jacket & this doesn’t disappoint. Love the unrestricted movement in the shoulders and the pit zips, wouldn’t hesitate purchasing again, especially at current sail price. Last, I wasn’t too sure about the Moonflower Shadow Bay color/pattern, but to my surprise, I really like it. Color palate isn’t too bright and looks less ‘busy’ in person.
Great shell!
Great shell jacket with some insulation. I’m 5’ 2” and 100 lbs. I opted for a small in this jacket. I could have also gotten an xsmall however I wanted plenty of room to layer and some added length. This jacket has great features, vent zippers and plenty of pockets. I’m using this to replace an 20 year old shell jacket that I loved but was just too small for layering. It was hard to find a new one with all the features I was used to, nice weight/feel to the shell, wind proof, plenty of pockets, two way zipper, large hood, vents, lined and adjustable sleeves. This has all of that plus some insulation. At the price there is just not a good comparable jacket. I’m looking forward to taking it on my trip to Iceland in January.
Nice Winter Jacket
I have had this jacket for just over a month. It has kept me warm in sub-zero temperatures with layering, scarf, hat and mittens. It has kept me dry when it is in the 30s and raining, too. I am happy with my purchase. I originally bought the Tidal blue color, but prefer the wine color. The sleeves are a wee bit long for me. I haven't worn it cross-country skiing yet, but I think it will do fine for me since it has the pit zips and I like the two pockets in the breast of the coat--one inside and one outside. I haven't washed it yet, so I cannot comment on how the waterproofing holds up to laundering. That's why I am giving it a 4-star review.
Waterlogged
Love everything about this jacket except for the fact it became waterlogged on the outside. I stayed dry within, so that was good. The water on the outside would bead for a moment, then get absorbed by the fabric. It didn’t bead and roll off as it did on my dad’s jacket (Marmont). I’m not sure if I’m misunderstanding the meaning of a waterproof jacket. I’ve had it only a few weeks, so hopefully they allow me to return it.
