I don’t believe anyone involved in the designing of these pants measured an actual human woman during the process. Especially for women who are both heavy and who spend a lot of time riding bikes or hiking — we have thighs. We have a really big thighs. We may be heavy, but our waist are nowhere near as big as you think they are and our thighs are about twice as big as you think they are. Please measure actual heavy — but athletic! — human women the next time you’re designing something.
Im 5’3” 105 lbs and I ordered an XS. It was HUGE, I like a looser fit sometimes but these would fall right to my ankles. Almost twice my size.
I am 5’6”, 120 lbs, small waist and wide hips. These are perfect and about the only thing I can find to fit me properly. I’m a hiker and more on the “distance runner” side. I can understand the other reviews, though, and if you are more of the sprinter build, these might not suit. I just ordered two more because they seem to be hard to find.
I really like these pants. I got the khaki color, and then ordered a second khaki and the charcoal. The charcoal isn't even close to any shade of gray. It's blue. Plain old, true blue. I'm still keeping them, but I really wanted gray. Any shade of gray, but a definite gray.
