Stylish, compact backpack perfect for commuting

This backpack is slim, stylish, and well constructed. It blends in well on a commute with black construction and subtle color hints. I liked the dual grab handles for stowing it at my feet on a bus, and the spacious front pocket. The backpack is just the right size for a 14" laptop, noise cancelling headphones, keyboard, and mouse that I take in to work. Note that the laptop sleeve will not fit a 16" macbook pro - I was however able to fit this in the main compartment. The bag is perfect for someone who wants a backpack that is the exact right size for their things and no larger, which fits comfortably on the back (no hip strap) and exudes style. Other features to note are a small hidden pocket on the back, a sleeve which fits over a 4 wheeled luggage handle (great for a carry-on), and two small side waterbottle pockets (these will fit a disposable 16 oz water bottle, but are too small for e.g. a 32oz nalgene), slim padding throughout all exterior panels to protect your cargo, and an interior pocket for miscellaneous items. I use this bag to commute to work, first through the park and ride and also on the bus. Because it's slim it worked well in tight quarters and I even got a compliment on it. And it feels good to know the company cares about the environment by using recycled materials.

Compact, sturdy, classy - better than a Kanken

This is an awesome bag for the coffee shop, train, or walk around the city. What this lacks in usable space it makes up for in its built-to-last quality and minimalist aesthetic. If this is what you're looking for and it holds everything you need, it's a perfect bag. ------- The Got Bag Daypack 2.0 is a small but very sturdy canvas backpack with nice back padding and thick shoulder straps. It always looks classy and holds its shape without bulges or lumps. The flip side to this thick, sturdy material is it doesn't stretch or morph its shape at all based on what you have inside, so stuff either fits or it doesn't. The depth of the backpack is advertised as 5", but measures as 4" on the outside and feels closer to 3.5" on the inside. I packed it in two different ways, and each was pretty much full to the brim: 1. One 14.5" laptop, 1 spiral notebook, 3 books, lightweight shirt, wallet, keys, phone. 2. Mini umbrella, thick denim jacket, wallet, keys, phone. ------- The small pocket that rests against your back is a nice space to keep a phone, wallet, or passport; it feels quite hidden from pickpockets under your armpit, although if someone sees the zipper, it is still easy access. The laptop pocket is thickly padded and is attached about an inch above the bottom of the bag; I would have no worries about my device being protected. The laptop pocket is accurately advertised for a maximum 14" laptop. My 14.5" laptop fit very snugly (see photo). The thin inside zipper pocket (the one people typically put keys, chapstick, medicine, etc. in) is nice and deep - almost the depth of the backpack itself. You could easily put a larger wallet in there. Personally I still only put small things in it. Using the outside vertical zipper pocket would take away space from the main pocket. However, it's useful if you like to organize your stuff into different pockets or want something quite flat to be easily accessible from the outside. The water bottle pockets are a nice touch from the original version of this backpack. They are designed to fit a standard 16oz/500mL plastic disposable water bottle, so most reusable ones won't fit. The pocket is stretchy, but small. I use a skinny 24 oz Contigo water bottle, which fits. My 20 oz Hydroflask travel mug just barely squeezes in and I wouldn't put it in on a regular basis. The Got Bag is made of recycled ocean plastic, which is great and makes you feel good about the materials used. In some ways it seems pricey for a day pack, but when you compare it to the similar popular vinyl backpack brand with a fox as its logo, the Got Bag fabric and design is nicer and more aesthetically pleasing with more useful pockets, and still less expensive. I received the black, but this comes in beautiful blue and green colors that are equally classy. ------- What I would use it for: Going to a coffee shop to read, study, or work. Taking a single evening class. Commuting on a bus or train, even possibly on a bike. As a personal item that fits under the plane seat. In place of a purse if a small backpack is more your style (it's very gender neutral). Walking in a city during the day as a tourist, assuming you only need a jacket, water bottle, essentials like wallet/keys/phone, and a little space for purchasing a souvenir. As a gift for someone who likes the minimalist aesthetic. What I would NOT use it for: More than one college class at a time (too small to use as a regular backpack). Packing light, or fitting this into a suitcase (not space efficient). Hiking or other primarily active pursuits (there are other styles of backpack designed for this). Packing clothes/toiletries (shape is not the best for this). A diaper bag (I just think it would be too small unless you truly only need a couple of diapers, a change of clothes, a thin blanket, a pacifier, a small toy). Potential suggestions for a future version: extend the main zipper all the way down for larger opening (in front of the water bottle pockets) and make the water bottle pockets taller; make bag slightly deeper; add loop to hidden back pocket for increased theft resistance.

Useful backpack

I used this bag pack as my everyday bag and it works for me. I am happy to report it has a water bottle pockets on the sides. It fits my coffee cup and my water bottle (20oz). The front pocket is small and easy for access. My favorite pocket is the one in the back panel. I used it to story my keys, but it fits a passport. The main compartment has a padded pocket for the laptop sleeve. It fits a 14inch good. Inside the main compartment there is a small zipper pocket. The shoulder straps are comfortable, and a good size. They are easily adjustable. The only wish I have is that it would be nice it is a chest strap. My everyday bag. I put diapers, wipes, book, laptop and a few other everyday small items. I am happy with the quality of this bag and it fits my everyday use.

Versatile, sleek, and functional backpack

If you're in the market for a versatile, sleek, and functional backpack, the GOT BAG DayPack 2.0 might just be your perfect match. Here’s a breakdown of why this pack stands out and a couple of things to keep in mind: Pros: Sleek Design: The DayPack 2.0 boasts a modern and minimalist design, making it a stylish choice for any occasion. Many Compartments: With multiple compartments, this backpack keeps your belongings well-organized and easy to access. Secure Laptop Sleeve: The dedicated laptop sleeve is a highlight. It fits my laptop perfectly and keeps it secure, giving me peace of mind on the go. Spacious Front Pocket: The front pocket is generously sized, ideal for stashing snacks and charging cords without any hassle. Roomy Main Compartment: The main compartment offers more space than you'd initially expect, accommodating all your essentials comfortably. Hidden Pocket: The "secret" pocket on the back is a brilliant feature. It’s perfect for keeping your phone and wallet safe and within easy reach. Cons: Small Water Bottle Pocket: The only downside is the water bottle pockets, which are on the smaller side. They're not suitable for larger water bottles, which might be a drawback if you prefer to carry a big bottle. Overall, the GOT BAG DayPack 2.0 is an excellent choice for those who value style, functionality, and organization. The few minor drawbacks are easily outweighed by its impressive features.

Almost Perfect

Love this backpack for most uses, but I would not recommend filling it. I have two minor issues with this backpack that are preventing me from giving it a 5. The first, there is no good place to connect a water bottle. My wife and I take this on our hikes and it would be nice to have a dedicated ring, or area to clip our bottle to. That is not an issue for most uses of this backpack, so it’s a VERY minor issues. The second, we put a change of clothes in this which made it a bit full and we started to have some issues with the zipper. For the cost I would like to see a little better or bigger zipper to make me trust it a bit more. Again, very minor based on what most people will be using this for, but wanted to make sure I called it out.

Good little bag

I take the train to work a few days a week and this is a good, not perfect, commuting bag. The laptop sleeve is well-padded, but tight for my 15in laptop. The bag is comfortable to wear and easy to carry, the top handle is a great feature. I also love the minimalist design look. My main criticisms of the bag are that it is VERY small, and the side pockets are hard to use. I can fit my laptop and some papers, and I can squeeze my lunch bag in as long as I pack the tupperware in a certain orientation. I can also squeeze in a coffee mug if I get the orientation right but it is a bit of tetris. When commuting I have to go from my car to the train, and then take a bus back to the train. It would be nice to have easy access pockets for airpods, train pass, keys, etc. However, if there is any stuff in the bag the side pockets are unusable. The fabric on the side pockets needs to be a bit more generous. Despite these criticisms, I will definitely continue to use the bag, especially on days when I don't bring my lunch. I didn't use the trolley sleeve, but when I do travel to a conference, I'm sure that will be a great feature to have.

Small, but packs a punch

A small, stylish bag, with an impressive amount of storage space. I use an enterprise sized laptop and it fits. It does not fit in the extra protection pocket; however it does fit. The recycled plastic through ocean waste is what all manufactured products should be; however over company's lag behind. This is an ideal carry on, or backpack for the work place. It can even be used on rainy days and continue to protect whatever goods you choose to keep inside.

Almost Perfect!

Overall the pack is nice, built well, and functional. Great for day trips and picnics. I love that it has a handle so you can use it as a tote. The hidden pocket is great, and the fact that it’s made from recycled ocean plastic is impressive. I just wish it was a bit more spacious. Can fit a small laptop or a tablet. Leaves space for only a few more items.

Simple, Compact

After using this bag for a couple weeks I really appreciate how compact it is. At first I thought it was too small but it actually fits everything I need for school. (Laptop, charger, textbook, notebook, pens and markers, etc) because it’s so square it uses space efficiently. Granted it’s not as big as your average backpack but it works. It’s comfy to walk around with, plenty of padding on the back. I like the simple design and sustainable material. One downfall is that the water bottle holders are on the smaller side so I’m limited to smaller water bottles.

Too small for my 13" Mac book air

Too small for my 13" Mac book air. The quality is superb. I wish that they included inside dimensions in the description. Only good for people who like a small backpack for an iPad. Not for a Macbook.
