Thoughtfully Designed Kids Helmet
This helmet feels high quality. The size range for the small, which is what we received, is 50 to 53 centimeters. My 10 year old daughter’s head is 53 centimeters and while she could get it on her head, she said it felt too tight even with the thinnest padding installed. So if your kiddo is on the upper edge of the sizing I would recommend going up a size. My daughter really liked the magnetic closure on the chin strap. It was really easy to open even with one gloved hand and there was no chance of the dreaded chin pinch. The helmet has a band inside that can be used to easily adjust the size. The helmet covers a considerable amount of the head which seems like it would make it very protective. It does have a lot of vents so seems like it would still be good in warmer weather.
Great adjustable fit and looks great
This helmet is great for our 2 year old toddler. The XS size fits her great and the adjustments seem just right. It will definitely have some space to grow and the back adjustable wheel is easy to use. The magnetic strap closure is just the right amount of simple for a 2 year old. It’s easy to close and open but seems secure enough to stay latched while it’s on.
Very lightweight and summer cool helmet
Very lightweight and cushioned helmet. I think this will be a very cool helmet for our Texas summers. The head width adjustment is easy to crank and the straps are easier to adjust than other helmets. The strap click button to get on and off is too difficult for my 4 year old to figure out so we'll have to work on that. Otherwise a great helmet.
Great functionality, cool look.
Great helmet and looks very stylish, but runs a little narrow. The vents and visor looks and feel great. The chinstrap mechanism is completely new to me, but once figured out, is very cool and easy to use. I would recommend sizing up if your kid is between sizes
Great lightweight and easy helmet for young kids
I got this helmet for my five year old son in the black color. I have been very impressed with this helmet. One of my top priorities in a children's helmet is being lightweight with good coverage. This helmet meets both of those criteria; it is lightweight enough where kids don't get tired of wearing it and goes lower in the back, giving more coverage. Other features I really love are the no-pinch chin strap which is simple enough that my son can open and close it on his own and the quick adjust knob on the back to tighten/loosen the helmet which has an extra large knob so that little fingers can find and turn it as needed. On the styling side of things, I think it looks great and my son also thinks it looks pretty cool.
Lightweight and no pinches!
What sets this Woom helmet apart is the ingenious magnetic clasp, making the helmet easy to secure without any worries of pinching your kiddo’s skin – a definite game-changer. The chin strap is also very easy to adjust. The helmet has great ventilation and the rubber front bumper adds an extra layer of protection (and durability). Beyond its functionality, the helmet fits comfortably and looks stylish.
Great overall helmet, needs more robust ratchet
This helmet is a great design, lightweight, and has a very clever magnetic latch system which both my kiddos (3 and 4 y.o.) could easily use. The design of the rope for the ear loop is clever and does not press against the kids' faces as much as the traditional straps do. The ratchet system on the bike for fine-tuned adjustments is a bonus. The only drawback is that the plastic ratchet adjustments are quite flimsy and snapped on one side when my son tried to adjust it a bit tighter. Aside from a slightly more robust ratchet adjustment structure, I'd highly recommend this helmet. Great Toddler Helmet
My toddler was super excited to try out this helmet. He loved that it looked just like the "big kids" and not "babyish." The helmet was easy to adjust, which was great for a squirmy two year old, who just wanted to get going and on his way! It has lots of growing room and will continue to adjust easily as needed. The quick release was simple to get the helmet on securely, and off when he was ready. It must be comfortable as he has wanted to keep it on inside. Luckily, we have not gotten to try out the safety features, as we have not had any big crashes but the shell and protection layers seem solid and secure and I feel confident in it protecting his head for any wrecks that may come.
Perfect Kids Helmet
Really nice kids helmet. The adjustment wheel works very well and is incredibly easy to adjust. I also really like that the visor is part of the helmet - our other kids helmets have detachable visors and my kids always end up messing with them. The magnetic clip took my kiddo a bit to figure out, but now that they've got it, it's also a nice convenience feature.
Good looking helmet, no MIPS
My son loved how this helmet looks. He had a GIRO prior to this, and something about the big contrasting woom logo on it caught his eye. The helmet seems well made with quality materials, and looks good. I am just concerned this does not have MIPS. I looked on the website and could not find a safety rating for the helmet - this is all the information on their website: "Size M helmets comply with U.S. CPSC Safety Standard for Bicycle Helmets for Persons Age 5 and Older". We live in south Texas, and ventilation seems to be a priority for this helmet. The buckle is easy to use. The helmet comes with different pads to adjust the inside fit, and the adjustment system in the back assures a correct fit. I can't give it 5 stars just because I don't trust something without MIPS.
