This thing is so cool! I'm a big fan of MPOWERD products and this is no exception. It's unbelievably feature-packed and so thoughtfully designed. It's so handy being able to charge this thing while I'm driving and have it ready to go when I'm setting up camp. I'm a forgetful gal and with normal rechargeable or battery-powered headlamps I can never remember to check the charge level before I go on camping trips so I often end up with a dead headlamp when I'm off the grid. I do vanlife part time and it's perfect for that. It's also surprisingly comfortable despite appearing to be bulky. It's got an extremely long battery life and is even brighter than I expected.
An excellect addition to a glove box, emergency kit and/or camp-camping kit. Ingenious sleek design starts as a good flashlight with multiple white and red light settings. The unit's modules are connected to the body by good magnets - the base (carrying a headstrap) and light are then magnetically connected to produce a headlamp. Easy peasy. The light can be adjusted up to 90 degrees, advantageous in both flashlight and headlamp modes. Good reading or cooking light in camp, and plenty bright enough for most nocturnal activities. Rechargable with the solar panel or with an included USB-C cord. If you're an ounce-counting backpacker there are much better options. The unit is heavy and a little bulky. But if you need a reliable multi-use light in your vehicle or around a campsite this is a fine choice. Reccomended.
This light is exceptionally bright on the high setting both as a flashlight in headlamp mode. The magnets are strong enough to hold the light on metal surfaces to use the light as a work light. The only negative is the need to cycle through all light cycles to turn the light off. This can be bypassed when using the switch on the main body by disconnecting the head of the light (this does not work when using the headlamp switch). Have not used the solar charge function yet, but if this works the light will be a even better.
Charged well in direct sunlight and although only lasts a few hours on low setting it worked for what we needed. It was nice that it worked as a flashlight or a headlamp. It was heavier then a battery powered headlamp, but for multi day trips when you don’t want to bring lots of batteries it is perfect.
