Perfect summer time short
I absolutely love these shorts. Amazing for cruising around on a warm day but also stylish enough to wear around town. They do seem to run a tad small, at least in the thighs. I'm 5'10 180lbs and I normally can wear a 32 in everything but in these I own one pair in 34 and in 33. A 32 was not possible to get into. The waists actually are the same size, with the 34 being a tad looser in the thigh where as the 33 is tighter in the thigh. 34 is a tad longer. But the waists are identical. Hope this review helps. I can guarantee you won't find a more comfortable short once you get the sizing dialed in.
Nice fit, not durable.
This is a well fitting short and looks great. The zip pocket is kind of awkward, but works for some snack bars. However, the shorts are not durable. The first day I wore these, they got multiple tears and snags in the fabric. I went on a very short hike, with minimal bushes and was surprised at the amount of damage they suffered where all my past shorts had easily survived. I'll be returning these.
Excellent all-round shorts
Excellent for hiking, swimming, travel, and around-town use. Fabric is comfortable and durable. Pockets are well designed, including rear zippered pocket. Interior string allows more secure fit of otherwise fixed waistband. 4.5 stars might be a better rating. I reduced my rating by one star because string and snap system for waist is clunky and likely insecure over time. Waist snaps usually wear and fail under pressure of movement. Elastic and button(s) would be more comfortable, durable, and repairable.
Comfortable but Small
Light and comfortable but they are similar to a pair of Mountain Hardwear pants I have. The sizing on the shorts is small. Im a 34 waist in any other pair of pants or shorts but with Mountain Hardwear I have to get a 36 but that ends up feeling too big. A minor annoyance is the single back right pocket. As a lefty the back right is practically useless for me. Either give us two back pockets or no back pockets! I can leave it though as during hikes I dont use my back pockets anyways.
These are good shorts. They are comfortable!
Great product and fit well and I love wearing them
9" inseam next time please
Really wish this came in a 9" inseam. If so it would be as great as the Yucca Canyon shorts from a few years back. Those were the best most versatile shorts I have ever had.
They are great
Ok I love these shorts. Not sure what is so awesome about these except they are very light. .
