Perfect
I had the Gary’s before and I did like them but I also really love these!! The material is slightly heavier and they look a bit trendier, I think. A great yoga type pant. I got the grey so they don’t look shiny at all. Maybe run a little big but not hugely. I wear a small and got a small. No pockets sticking out like some reviewers have said. Will be cute with mini Uggs or trainers. I know a lot of people have said they don’t like them but I think there are a lot of traditional joggers on the market you can go for but these are a little bit different and excellent quality. Give them a try - don’t be put off by the bad reviews!
YAS Gary's upgraded!
I have always been a life long fan of the Gary's so when I heard that they were being replaced my heart went! HOWEVER... these Gaia's are something else! Especially when pregnant the comfort is even softer than the original fabric of the Gary's. The waistband higher and more flattering and they now have a drawstring cord feature. I will be wearing everyday and swapping to the different colours! #teamsweatybetty
Please bring the Garys back
I absolutely adored Gary yoga pants. Pretty much have every colour and I told everyone about them and converted a lot of friends and family members who were equally disappointed with the new style. Tried Gaia in my usual size and size smaller and both just didn't look right. My usual size was too big in the waist, falling down and generally looking and feeling too big and smaller size, was too tight in the bum area and the pockets were sticking out too much, making it look like elephant ears. As soft as the material was, they were not flattering at all. Please bring the Garys back. I bought another pair of the colour I already own just to have as a spare as I'm heartbroken they were discontinued.

Ok but sizing is off
I didn’t dislike the new version of these but the sizing is completely off if you are trying to get a similar look to the Gary. I read other reviews and down sized from my usual size and they were still roomy but ok. However it was the length that made me return them. Again I went for my usual standard length but they came up really short. I purchased them when on offer and would have exchanged them for the longer length at the reduced price but as they had gone back to full price i decided not to as I can’t warrant the full price for them. Overall ok but just not as nice a fit anymore.

Gary's have been upgraded!
I LOVE these! I was initially skeptical after finding out that Gary's were being redesigned, as they've always been so comfy, versatile and flattering. Gaia is everything Gary was and more - the thicker waistband is comfortable and not restrictive at all, the material feels softer and more defined plus they're still super flattering! Personally I feel that these come up on the slightly loose side and so I sized down from my usually size - I would absolutely recommend trying these on, but be prepared to never want to take them off as they are so comfortable! #teamsweatybetty
NOPE!
i’ve been a yoga teacher since 2001 and for most of that time I and half my students have worn gary’s. i got cross about three years ago when the material changed and gary’s went from being perfect to merely decent… but that was a minor hiccup compared to this abomination! i tried some gaia’s on in the shop and thought i must have put on half a stone without noticing. but no, they’re just the most unflattering, cheap, ugly joggers ever to have been invented. i have just spent the morning darning the holes of my old gary’s and googling ‘what’s the best gary alternative?’

So versatile and so soft ❤️
Love the flexibility of these trousers. Foldable waist band and ankle cuffs allows the leg of the trouser to become more fitted or relaxed depending on which look you want to create. I often wear them over high waisted powers for coaching or with just a vest/tee when chilling out. I wish people would stop comparing them to the old style Garys - in my opinion, they are a far more versatile piece of kit (for sport or life!) Lots of people sizing down but I prefer to adjust the waist and keep the extra leg space around the quad. They wash well and dry in a short time.
Love the new Gaias!
After trying on my friend’s Garys and liking them I decided to invest in them a bit too late (as replaced by the Gaia). I’m so glad I took a chance on them as I’ve basically lived in them since I got them a week ago! I’d say they are a bit baggier round the leg than the Garys but I love that as I’ve got quite muscular legs. I love the drawstring addition too! I’m a size 12 and the small are a perfect fit. I’m 5ft 8 and the 29” are perfect length. They are definitely as good as the Garys in my opinion. Yes the pockets don’t lie fully flat but it doesn’t bother me.
Best yoga pants
After being a big fan of Gary style pants for ages, I was disappointed when they were discontinued si tried the new Gaia replacement style with trepidation. But I have to say they are lovely! Super soft material, lovely wide waistband and, most importantly easy to look after. As a yoga teacher they need to be easy to wash and dry as I have my kit in and out of the washing machine and tumble drier on repeat, but these cope beautifully and always look great in class. Top marks from me! Btw - I used to buy size S in Garys but these are a wee bit bigger so bought XS
Not as good as the Gary pants
I really wanted to love these pants as a fan of the Gary pants for many years. The pockets were a bit odd and stick out. The back is a bit shapeless and makes the bottom a bit sad and saggy. The ankle cuffs are much smaller than the old ones and less of a feature. These could be pretty much pants from anywhere for half the price. Sizing is very generous. I’m either a medium or large in the old range, ordered a large and they are a bit baggy. If I was to order again I would go for a M. Such a shame waistband it nice but that’s about it. Gutted…
