$19.95 product defect cost me over $200

I'm disappointed with Petzl on this item. An otherwise stellar gear-maker, I'm not sure what went wrong here. While descending from an Ice climb this weekend, the holder just broke (without any noticeable force/pressure, etc). And because I didn't notice the breakage, several ice screws slid off quietly into the deep snow while walking down. Despite a long search of the descent path, the screws were not to be found. Hence a $19.95 holder ended up costing me over $200. Think twice before committing expensive gear to this holder.
