Wish food didnt stick

I used this twice on a gas stove. Very compact so doesn`t take up much room. Utensil combo also a nice feature. Was happy to find out the handle didnt get hot while cooking. Not sure how easy it would be to cook a heavier item as handle is not ergonomically friendly but pan is sized for smaller items. But afterwards had a very difficult time cleaning the pan. Part of my grilled cheese sandwich is still stuck on pan after two washings and fried egg remnants difficult to remove. I used a cooking spray but it didn't help. Pan is now discolored and not sure how clean it is

A series of compromises.

There are several components to this cookset, so I'll try to reivew each independently. 1) The actual frying pad - I was able to make it non-stick, so I don't think the actual metal presents any issue (nor is it exceptionally good, I don't think), but the shape wasn't perfect. It was too high-sided to be used as a typical skillet, but it those same high sides were too short to function well as an actual sauce pan or similar. 2) The plates were fine, if small. No issues or items to highlight. 3) The cutting board is too small. I get the impression it was added in to "bolster" the # of pieces. It would be just as convenient to cut on the back of a plate. 4) The rubber trivet was a little too floppy and a little too slippery (sometimes) when I used it. 5) The spatula was fine - it worked as one would expect. It came apart without issue (see below) 6) The sporks were also fine when using them with food; however, perhaps it was the set I received, but it was very VERY difficult to separate the two pieces. It took way too much effort and I always ended up pinching my fingers.

All in one compact cooking set perfect for camping

We used this new cook set camping on the Oregon coast. Everything in the 12-piece set packs up for storage into the frying pan! The stainless steel pan cooked our veggies and chicken perfectly. My favorite features include 2 items I did not have in my camping kitchen box : the lid has holes built in so you can strain it - this was great for straining out the liquid from the mushrooms; and a silicone trivet is handy to put on the picnic table when moving the pan to the table to serve. My 1 suggestion for future product enhancements - add a knife.

Excellent cookset with intuitive design

I received these products for free from the REI Trailblazers sampling program in exchange for my honest review. This Stanley cookset is amazing. From the initial unboxing, I could tell the items were high quality and very durable. They are well packaged and the inside of the frying lid has an easy to use diagram for re-stacking the set after all the items were washed. I was able to use my cookset at home on the stove, since I wasn't able to travel anywhere during December. I easily cooked a mixture of chicken, potatoes and peppers with ease; achieving a nice crust. The skillet cooks evenly and I am really impressed with how the food turned out. The plate and spork were very handy and compact, though I had to provide my own knife and will likely store some with the set for future use. I really like the silicone trivet that was part of the set. I think it is a great addition and I was impressed with how well it did after the food was cooked. While I ate outside on my patio at a camping table, I have no doubt that this compact and sturdy set will do well in a wilderness setting and I am looking forward to using this while hiking/camping in the future. The kit easily fits into my backpack. The pan handle folds over the lid to hold all the pieces in place. Though, I am going to look for a mesh bag to keep everything from being scratched up in my backpack. It would be nice if future versions of this set came with a carry bag. Overall, I am super impressed with the items. I am looking forward to future use. Thanks for making a durable set that will see many uses.

Compact handy all in one set.

“I received these products for free from the REI Trailblazers sampling program in exchange for my honest review.” With it being so cold, we have not had a chance to go winter camping. We decided to test this set out at home and make what we would on a camping trip. I have to say, it is a handy little set. The pan has a nice sturdy feel, and evenly distribited the heat when cooking. I like that the lid has dual purpose, and can be used as a strainer. I also like the hot pad that connects to the cutting board. It will be helpful since the lid, and pan can get hot. I used this pan quite a few times to make quick simple things. It is small, but a good size for two people to eat.I think it will make a great addition to our camping set.

Decent set, but not perfect

This set contains much of what you’d need to cook for one or two people. This whole set packs up nicely, making it easy to carry all the items. I think it is too heavy for backpacking so will use for car-camping. The small frying pan is a good size for cooking two salmon filets. I used the lid with the vent holes and found it helped to cook the salmon quickly. I used olive oil on the pan before cooking and it cleaned up easily after use. The spatula was easy to use and the cutting board worked fine (but it is a bit small). The plates are small, but you aren’t going to be able to cook up a lot of food with this fry pan. I found a couple of things irritating: 1) The handle on the pan folds down for use, and then to pack it up I had to squeeze hard on the base of the handle. Hopefully this loosens up a bit with repeated use. 2) I could not separate the spoon from the fork, even after pushing, pulling, etc. Overall, this is a decent cook set but not a perfect one.

Nesting dolls but from Stanley…

An immediate upgrade from using non-stick. This plus the Primus stove we use it on make for a top notch set up. The pan heats evenly and is great for everything we’ve thought to cook in it. I love the locking handle that folds up and everything fits neatly inside. The cutting board is pretty sturdy, I was kind of surprised. If you haven’t cooked in stainless steel before, google it or watch a YouTube video for some tips. I love the ease of having cookware, utensils and plates all in one.

Incredibly well built fry pan cook set - love the quality and versatility of the stainless steel nesting system. The cook set has great nesting with ease and induction capabilities. The quality of the cook set is amazing and the nested set is the best that I have used for outdoor cooking and camping.
