Saved my feet in the snow!
Right before a snowy backpacking trip, my waterproof boots fell apart. I was left with a brand new pair of lone peaks for sub 30 degree weather and around a foot of snow. I got these socks last ditch and I honestly wasn't thrilled about depending on them. However, I quickly found that the socks were extremely warm in the snow and ice. I wore a light wool sock underneath these, and my feet were warm and drier than they ever had been before. In contrast, some of those who wore watertight boots began to bucket and have freezing feet. My shoes fell off multiple times in the snow and water, but the moisture was never able to reach my feet. Literally the best 45 dollars I have ever spent. I would've gotten frostbite without them for sure. The only time my feet got wet was when I let the water go over the top of the sock as an experiment.
Impossibly tight
Completely impossible to wear. I am not overweight, my calves are normal size, but the calves of these socks are so incredibly tight they cause actual pain when I wear them and I worry about causing a DVT. Threw them away.
