Reaching out to Ashley from Texas about her review

To Ashley who wrote that these boots don''t handle the mud - you made a comment about these boots not being comfortable and giving you blisters. EVERY pair of boots I've ever owned have at first felt stiff and uncomfortable and I always get blisters with new boots. If you haven't returned these I would suggest wearing them around to break them in and give them another chance. My Timberland boots always end up feeling very comfortable once I've broken them in. Plus they're really cute!

Loved the boots but...

Had to size up significantly after ordering a pair in my usual size. They served their purpose well, I walked through several streams and walked with them briefly in a shallow river. Climbed over plenty rocks and went through mud etc without slipping. My feet did not get wet, only cold. My only large complaint is the ankle area rubs a lot so either put something to block it in advance or you may end up with an ankle blister.

most waterproof shoe as horticulture work shoes

I work in a greenhouse, so my feet are constantly getting wet. Because we walk anywhere from 5-10 miles everyday and these are the shoes I have been wearing 5 days a week for the past 4 months, the waterproof feature of this shoe is incredible. Here’re some other positives • comfortable and never needed breaking in • true to size • after consistent • continual use hasn’t separated the sole of the shoe and the bottom The negatives & reason for only 4 stars • the hooks for the laces leave some space between your ankle and the tongue of the shoe, so water or dirt (mostly dirt) gets in through that opening and into my shoes. Super annoying!!! If it could just be a regular hole for laces all the way up, that’d be great! • due to constant wear on concrete, the bottoms of the shoes wear out really quickly. I was hoping to wear these longer bc they’re a really great shoe but I can’t wear them when there’s no traction

Bought for street walking on winter and snowy days

I bought these on holiday for walking the New York winter streets as I had heard waterproof boots are a must. These were comfortable with thick socks and kept my feet dry and warm. I love the look of these too, and didn't choose the classic Timberland boot as I didn't have the time to break a pair in. Very pleased with my new boots!

Not cushy and not meant for mud

Been on a few relatively easy hikes, one in the rain, the soles packed with mud So i was constantly stopping to scrape the soles off. The sole doesn't offer much cushion, and I've gotten a few blisters despite thick socks.
